My husband and I absolutely LOVE Dr. Ryan and the staff at Parkway Pediatric Dentistry! On Sunday May 25, 2025 our son was unfortunately involved in a backyard accident that broke 6 of his front permanent teeth (4 of them down to the nerve). This is not our original Pediatric dentist office, but we had to search for another dentist when ours never returned our phone call on their emergency line. Dr. Ryan called my husband back within 10 mins of us calling their emergency phone number!! He was SO kind! We were able to send him pictures of our poor boy's mouth so he could see the damage and give us instructions on what to do for him. Then he made an appointment for us first thing Monday morning at 9am. His office was closed Memorial Day, but they came in just to help us!! While there, he explained the extent of the damage and what needed to be done. There was no way that my son would sit through the work that needed to be done, so he would need anesthesia. Dr. Ryan's office has an actual pediatric Anesthesiologist that comes in from NC once a month, and they just so happened to be scheduled to come up that Thursday 5/29/25! He was so compassionate and knew that this was something that needed to be repaired FAST, so he added our boy to his case load! Dr. Ryan, his staff, and the anesthesiologist were all so informative and competent with EVERY SINGLE THING the days leading up to the procedure, and everything before, during, and after the procedure. I am not kidding, I have never experienced such amazing patient care. They truly treated our boy as if he was their own. The procedure took a total of 100 mins and everything went perfectly from start to finish. His teeth look amazing! We will never be able to express in words how thankful we are for Dr. Ryan, the staff, and the Anesthesiologist for coming together and giving our son such a wonderful outcome! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! With four kids, we've seen plenty of dental offices over the last decade, but Parkway in Roanoke is hands down the best. Scheduling was a breeze—I submitted a request online and they called me within hours. They got two of our kids in for routine checkups the same week when our old office tried to push us out months! The waiting areas have toys for all ages, and the staff was so nice and knowledgeable, even with insurance stuff. Definitely the top spot for pediatric care in VA.

I was told about this office from another mom in a Facebook group in Lynchburg because everyone near there has a hard time getting our kids into a dentist office. I called on Friday afternoon and got an appointment the following Thursday, but could've gone as early as Tuesday. We were treated SO well from the phone call to the check in and out. My daughter was so excited to have a "lady dentist" and adored the dental assistant we had. We were told the options we had and when we checked out they let me know what our insurance would and wouldn't cover on our next visit and let me know an exact dollar amount (which in my experience is practically unheard of.) I couldn't recommend this practice more and we really enjoyed our experience, especially for a very scared 4 year olds first dentist visit!
After having multiple problems with a few dentist in this area, Parkway Was suggested to me, and i’m so glad it was! Dr. Ryan is great ! the Hygienist was so awesome with my little one and very communicative (as well as Dr. Ryan! ) and the office was very kid friendly, comfortable , and clean! My son even said he wanted to go back tomorrow! I would recommend to anyone who was looking for a dentist!
Oh my goodness, I have never felt more welcome in a office. The staff is not only friendly but they want to know you and for you to know them. They showed so much patience with my boys, who can be a bit wild, all with the biggest smiles on their faces. The dentist was quick and efficient. He talked to us on areas we could improve without judgments. The office is so clean. My children absolutely loved it! That’s right, my kids loved going to the dentist all thanks to these wonderful people at Parkway!!
We love this place! My daughter started going here when they first opened and we have never had a bad experience. Everyone is super nice and friendly. We've never had to wait longer than a couple of minutes for an appointment. They do an amazing job at keeping my daughter comfortable and happy at her appointments. She loves going to the dentist and can't wait to show everyone her sparkly teeth afterwards!
It's a bit of a travel for us, but the dentist and staff are very friendly and quick. Great service and they also have a couple of waiting rooms with TV, books, games, and even a video game room so there's plenty to keep your child entertained in the meantime. They've even got tvs above their examination chairs on the ceiling so your child can watch TV as work is being done😁. Highly recommended!
We had a tooth emergency and they were able to see us right away. I appreciate the time Dr. Ryan took explaining to us what he thought was best for our little one. He has professional, helpful, kind bedside manners. They have a lovely clean place with a couple different rooms for kids to play while they wait. They can read, watch a show or play some video games. The staff was friendly too and we enjoyed getting to know the dental assistant. They all seem to really enjoy their jobs. Highly Recommend this Dentistry gem for your kiddos.
