Honestly, the whole experience was terrible. We waited forever with our kids, and the front desk staff was rude and just gossiping about non-work stuff. Dr. Hall was a complete jerk to me, even mocking my employer, and when I walked away he kept making ignorant comments. Then his staff joined in making sarcastic remarks about my kids being beautiful. He was so focused on me filling out forms "incorrectly" that he didn't even talk to me about my child's dental needs. This pediatric dentist in Bloomington, IL really let us down.

Our kids have had great care overall, but parents should know you have to "opt-in" on your child's account to make sure the staff asks for approval before doing services not covered by insurance. Each of my kids has been going here since they were 9-12 months old (my oldest is 9). Never had any issues with staff. We get happy birthday texts, reminders when they're due for an appointment. Only issue is they schedule out far, but that's everywhere now. Dr. Hall is great with the kids, tells them what he's doing, lets them touch things when scared. Wish I could give zero stars. Laid back and horrible staff. The whole clinic is open but no one inside—patients waiting and a note saying out for lunch. Computer screen left unlocked with my personal data unprotected. I was there to follow up on transferring medical records, and even after two weeks they haven't done it. My kids see Dr. Hall and he's great with them. My daughter needed general anesthesia for some work when she was 3 because she wouldn't sit in the chair. He's been so patient, even when she screams during cleanings. Well, yesterday at 6 years old, she sat in the chair to repair her chipped front tooth. He explains everything in a kid-friendly way. If I could leave zero stars I would. Whoever runs this place should be ashamed. My 5 year old stepson gets to remain in pain because this so called dental office refuses to see him. He had a consultation appointment and missed it because he got no sleep the night before and in fact did not fall asleep until 5 AM. How can you expect a child to go to an appointment after no sleep the night before? Simple to just reschedule but no. You just refuse to see him at all. I don't care about your stupid policies. Any place that makes a child suffer should be shut down immediately.
I want to start by saying Dr.Sara is amazing. My daughter has had multiple mouth surgeries and we finally found a dentist she was comfortable with. We were scheduled for an appointment today at 10am after waiting 2 months and we live 45 minutes out of town. As we were almost to Bloomington, we received a call that stated her appointment was actually at 9am. I stated in my calendar and my message reminder that was sent the previous day her appointment was at 10am and we are almost there. She then rudely stated we cannot reschedule you today and I replied are you freaking kidding me, and she hung up on me. I spoke to this woman for 33 seconds on the phone. I called back and they did not answer. I waited a few minutes and called back again in which I spoke to someone who put me on hold for 5 minutes and came back and said I used profanity on the phone with her staff member and we would be dismissed from her office. I said freaking is not profanity and after taking the day off work and driving out of town, yes I did say are you freaking kidding me. She then said I would be dismissed for my tone I used with her staff, and I would receive a dismissal letter and hung up on me.
We have been going here for 3 years and have never missed an appointment. I also work in customer service, and this is very un-professional. The front desk could use additional training in handling customers and management. Dr Sara is great and trying to find a new dentist my daughter will be comfortable with will be very hard. It is very sad that they dismiss children that need care.
However, I do not recommend this office due to their poor customer service.

The earliest was a month out, which seemed normal. They also said they don't do emergency visits, which I thought was odd. Then the morning of the appointment, they called to reschedule to the next day. Just a frustrating experience for a kid in pain in Bloomington, IL.

While I have nothing but great reviews for Dr Hall and his staff. The front office and most of all the office manager is a completely different story. Beyond the most cold hearted rude individual I have ever spoken to in a medical/ Dentist office. When attempting to schedule routine appointment was informed my children have been “dismissed” without a phone call or letter advising of the dismissal. Staff manager had ZERO compassion and horrible customer service for something that was out of my control. Based off the other reviews can see this is an ongoing issue with this office. Very sad since my children have been there since toddlers and this is how they treat patients. Hope that staff manager can sleep at night knowing they are a horrible individual. This is a blessing in disguise.
We have been coming here for about 4 years with both my kids ages 8 and 5. Always a great experience. Kids have grown to love coming here. They are never nervous and in fact look forward to coming! They see Dr. Hall, he is fantastic and so are the girls that work with him!

We absolutely love Dr. Hall and all the staff at Pediatric Smiles! Dr. Hall was my dentist when I was a kid and my two sons have had Dr. Hall as their dentist for many years now. He is the best with kids, and because of that, we have never dealt with anxiety or fear when it comes to going to the dentist. Dr. Hall is gentle and hilarious - leading to a very easy and fun dental experience. Every time we leave their office, my boys ask when we get to go back. You won’t find a better pediatric dentist than Dr. Hall!
After taking my children to Dr. Sara since they were born, my daughter got her first cavity at the age of 6. When my wife called the office to ask questions about the next steps, the office and office manager failed to answer any questions she had and then told us that our children would be dismissed from the practice. When I called back to get clarity on the situation I was told that they answered all of my wife's questions and that she got rude for no reason and was ordering them to take x-rays of my daughter's teeth since she had never had any which was false. We felt like our children were simply a number to this office and all they wanted was our money instead of simply explaining things to us. Not a good way to run a pediatric business at all in my opinion.
Our initial experience was great. The staff and Dr. Sara were very patient with my four year old, who is still refining his manners and ability to follow directions. Their instruction and explanations to me as the parent were clear and concise. I would highly recommend.
