This gets a one star, not because we were patients, but because they are violating parental rights. Unless the exam is sensitive or they doctor feels the child is in danger which would not be the case for a dentist, they can not refuse the parents being present due to medical consent laws. If they have refused you I highly recommend calling a lawyer and taking action. Things like this must stop in fort wayne

Horrible place! Please believe the poor reviews. My adult daughter came here for wisdom teeth extraction. She was quoted a price then the day of her procedure she again asks as she is paying beforehand, "This is all I will need to pay?" The woman said yes, this is all. They used laughing gas and gave her WAY too much that she thought she was dying and they were trying to kill her. When her procedure was over she walked to the lobby and was bawling uncontrollably to the point of hyperventilating. She was so traumatized that she couldn't speak about it without reliving the entire experience.
Fast forward a month or two and she receives a letter stating she owes over 300 dollars.
They may be cheaper but its because they skip a lot of steps and don't seem to care about the patients. They take advantage of the lower income community.
Please rethink going here. We read many poor reviews but chose to go because she needed them out and it was affordable, or so we thought. "NOT WORTH THE TRAUMA!"

I like how my son comes out happy after his appointments, but I wish they let me back there with him. I was under the impression I could go back with him if I didn’t bring my other child with me, but then the second time I went they told me I couldn’t go back either. He’s only 3, and never been to the dentist before that so it was hard for me to not worry, they were great I just wish I could go back there with him :(

I had my wisdom teeth removed Friday 1/23/26 the scheduling and working with me to get it was great the lady’s were super nice and friendly. Day of again the lady’s were sweet the wait was like 40 mins after my original appointment time they brought me back had to wait for the doc he came in asked how I was I said good how long dose this usually take he said 10 mins okay not bad he got straight to it said all you will feel is pressure lies I felt the numbing needle push through to bone hurt I start tearing up he goes to pop the tooth that’s has been irritated all week and it hurts so bad I’m bailing my eyes out and tell him stop please like I’m not numb I can feel all the painhe numbs it again pops the other sides teeth out dose the top of the irritated side and goes to do the bottom I’m numb now how I should have been in the first place I’m still like crying a lil but trying to control my breathing I paid for laughing gas I was trying to get my money worth I hear the drill come out and bone grinding the he gets up says he done walked to the next room. All in all doc Carrol could have been a lil more patient instead of trying to speed run all his patients and not really careing about the person in the seat

They should let parents back with kids under 10 years old. My son came out crying and I don’t know what they were back there doing to him. He’s 7 and I used to be able to go back with him. Who’s to say what they are doing or how they are treating my kid. I do not like that. Too much going on in the world.

First time ever going there took my youngest the staff and doctor was amazing they even got my oldest in without even having an appointment since they was already seeing his brother.i was just there this morning an they even let me go back with my son he's 6 there was no questions asked an they never told me I couldn't.

The front desk staff was wonderful but the girls in the back doing the cleanings was extremely rude to my special needs daughter. It has been like that the last year we have been coming in. If your child is scared of doctors or has sensory issues this place is not the place to take them. Its very sad this has been the only dentist my kids have came to for the past 10 years and it breaks my heart when they are rude to my child that has special needs. I do not recommend them at all anymore.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place is absolutely ridiculous. They would not allow us to go back with our 3 or 5 year old for a simple evaluation even. There is absolutely no reason that should not be allowed. I can't imagine the kind of shady things they can or would do with that rule in place. Absolutely do not bring your kids here!!! We don't even have a clue who the Dr. Is that they saw. You don't meet them at all. I have nothing even slightly positive to say about the experience.

I give this place 0 star. They don’t allow parents to go back with their children because “it’s the doctors preference”. I was told they were going to use a papoose board…absolutely not. This facility has red flags all over. I found it very odd and off putting they would not let me back with my 4 year old. No other dentist has ever denied me going back with my children. Had an awful feeling in my gut and I am glad I left before any damage or trauma was done. I would avoid at all costs.

This place was terrible to my son today even though he is 17 doesn't mean that needles don't scare him and yes he was scared going in so he had a bit of an attitude and he asked if he could spit because he couldn't breath and was told no and to act right! The dentist can be a really scary place for kids and when he asked to have his mother was told that he wasn't allowed to have me and got more scared! This is ridiculous then was told that they wouldn't even do the filling and that someone else would have to do it! Sure hope our coverage covers another provider! This is bullshit and when a kid is asking for their mother there should be no reason he can't hold their hand! I'm appalled at the way they handled this situation

They were great with my daughter. She was not scared. They were fast with verifying insurance before taking my daughter for her cleaning

I’m not gonna lie, I got my wisdom teeth taken out recently, it took 10 minutes to get all four out! I’m not mad at that at all, but if you wanna get yours done they don’t offer sedation just laughing gas and numbing. Overall good experience!

Very polite staff. Clean, maintained office. Only thing I didn’t like was that the Doctor just came in and started working immediately didn’t introduce herself or anything then just immediately left after doing her examination. And also they recommended pulling a tooth for my child, I went to SmileWorks Youth for a second opinion and they explained they were actually able to do more to save the tooth rather than pull it. Overall good office and staff. Maybe needs better attention to detail and a more thoughtful and thorough approach to treatment needs.

The facility is very kid friendly and even includes an indoor playground, which is a wonderful touch for children. The front desk staff and dental hygienist were both friendly and excellent with kids. The only area for improvement was with the dentist — she did not introduce herself before beginning the exam and came across as less personable. I also would have appreciated more patient education from her during the visit. Given that it was our first pediatric dental visit, I would have expected more guidance on my child’s dental development, preventive care tips, and what to expect at future visits.

Didn’t understand why i was asked to sit away from my two year old child while in i guess the multiple patients room, if you don’t want a parent to be near their kid due to space constraints maybe you should have put us in a single patient room or maybe it was due to the fact i could see the computer screens which then maybe should have a better station for those if you only want staff to be able to view the screen. Oh and on top of it wasn’t given a reason to sit on bench or anything by the attending dentist assistant, the hygienist said i was fine being with my child while we did the cleaning. So maybe a bit more people skills for the assistance on duty that day.

I appeared at the appointment with my daughter but did not complete treatment. My concern was why I couldn't go back to the treatment room with my daughter. The dental assistant elaborated on parents were not allowed back. Some time ago I was able to go back and the dental assistant said If I was not satisfied with the rules at Pippin Dental to find another dentist. We'll, on June 2, 2025 my daughter went to the back on her own and another dental assistant who treated her for a cleaning cut her gums with a tooth pic and told my daughter that she was tired. How unprofessional this dental office Is. I would not recommend any one to take there children here.

The staff was quick and efficient, which I appreciate. That being said, there was no official introduction by the staff. This was our first time and I didn't know who the dentist was going to be and when she came in, I didn't catch her name or receive any feedback about my son's teeth directly from her. The hygienist briefly introduced herself and passed on the feedback from the dentist. So it was fine but it just wasn't stellar for our first visit and having no clue what the process looked like. I just expected a little more from a place geared toward kiddos who are likely having their first appointment of their lives.
