Update: They removed my attachments. The care staff was great, but the office side is where my issue lies. I had a frustrating experience with my orthodontic treatment here. I paid in full for an unlimited Invisalign-style plan, but my case was later closed without my knowledge. At my last visit, they told me to finish my current trays and that they'd order more or remove the attachments after. Now I'm being told I have to pay extra just to get the orthodontic attachments removed and to receive retainers, which I thought were included in my original treatment plan. After being...

My wife and were pleased with the staff and quality of care. The slow rating resulted from them dropping our insurance carrier, not telling us of this event, and then failing to assist or negotiate on our last appointment. We paid the bill but immediately changed dentists. Sorry for the low review but this was unacceptable.
I've been going to Plaza Dental Group for years despite the turnover. Recently got a letter saying I can't be a patient anymore with no explanation. I always pay upfront for every visit, which hasn't been cheap. They no longer accept Delta Dental, so you have to pay upfront. Lacey has always been my hygienist and she's great! But when I was supposed to get a cap put on, my blood pressure shot up after the meds they gave me. The doctor wanted me to try the procedure with high BP, and I refused and went to the ER instead. Maybe that's why. Regardless, I'm disappointed.

I hadn't been to the dentist since my previous one retired during Covid. The staff at Plaza Dental Group in Urbandale were amazing! After my initial visit, they got me in right away for a deep clean and a filling. They made everything comfortable and mostly anxiety-free. They got me in quickly and listened to all of my needs and my concerns because of past experiences. I am a unique (and probably more annoying) patient because I have trigeminal neuralgia. They were patient with me and constantly checked on my pain level/comfort during my procedure. Can not tell you how much that means to me!! I have plenty more procedures to go to get everything where it needs to be healthwise but I am confident they will be just as helpful and patient the next time. Thank yall!!!

Editing to add after Plaza's comment: You shouldn't have to worry about this at your dentist of all places and let me say again...giving out your phone number to a third party for monetary gain is NOT okay. My son had to block the sleep study place after I told them personally to stop calling!
Take some accountability and don't try to make extra money off your patients! Glad of the decision I made after their comment!
Really liked going here. My son also felt comfortable which is hard to find for him, but they tele-market and spam you. First it was some sleep study because of a box my son (with aspergers) checked and didn't even know what it meant. He received a dozen calls from some place saying they got his number from Plaza dental which is not okay.
Then they were having some Invisalign promo which was a good deal but they called and text me to death even though I said I would reach out because I was at work. This was over several days.
My son also got the promo texts and calls. While the doctors and hygienists are great I don't want to go anywhere that gives out my number or cares more about up-sales than their patients.
I just scheduled myself and my son with a new practice after I made sure they will not try to sell us anything.
We are all permission based, just reply stop and no one will send you anything! There wasn’t another company sending you a message, we are the same company, I understand how it would be confusing, no one sold your information, ever. Thank you for the review.
