Very unhappy with this dentist in Staten Island, NY. I went to have a cap put on, which turned into an infection because they drilled too close to the gum, and I ended up needing a root canal treatment. I've had plenty of root canals before, but this one was horrific—I suffered extreme pain even after it was done. Since September, I've been in pain, and they take forever to call you back. It's not even worth explaining the rest. My opinion: stay away from this place for dental crowns or anything else.

Honestly, my experience at Richmond Ave Dental in Staten Island was awesome. I got a teeth cleaning and had multiple cavities filled with dental fillings, and I've already scheduled my next cleaning in six months. Dr. Jennifer Pumarejo used a needle that barely felt like a pinch every time and walked me through each step. She's a superhero at her practice—I was blown away by her work. The hygienist Brianna and office manager Natalia were friendly and great too. My cleaning went phenomenal, and Natalia made appointment scheduling and billing super easy. I've had a dentist for over a decade, but this place is different.

Careless doctor with two left hands at this Staten Island office. I strongly recommend staying away unless you want to redo every single tooth Dr. Sanders "treats," out of pocket, since insurance doesn't cover the same tooth twice. Speaking on behalf of my family who've had the same problems caused by Dr. Sanders, please save time, money, and your teeth—avoid this place by all means. It's not worth the risk for dental fillings or any other work.

Used to be very satisfied with Dr. Sanders at Richmond Ave Dental in Staten Island and was her patient for over five years. Something changed, and now it feels more about money and less about patients. Waiting times increased, and it became a struggle to be seen for emergency dental care. In one case, Dr. Sanders prescribed a weak antibiotic for an infection that lingered and suggested extracting the tooth. When I asked for a stronger one, it cured the infection in days. More recently, the receptionist didn't file pre-authorization properly. Disappointing for a long-time patient in Staten Island, NY.

I had a terrible experience with this office. Not only did another dentist have to redo the work they performed, but they continued charging my insurance even after I stopped going there. Despite calling their office multiple times to resolve the issue, they told me I needed to come in for another check-up—just so they could charge my insurance again! Absolutely unacceptable. I cannot recommend this place.
I was given an appointment months in advance. I called 10-12 times over the week to confirm the time and nobody picked up or I was put on hold and forgotten about. I show up today just to be turned away because I was 'late' for my appointment even though I showed up at my scheduled time. They claimed they had me down for 11:30 but how would I know if you never pick up your phone ??? Never again ...

This place is HORRIBLE! My daughter went here twice after they inject her to numb her mouth not one two but three times then they determine that they can’t do anything for her tooth. Shouldn’t this be determine before you inject someone? They they refer her to a specialist that is shut down. This is very upsetting. They also need to be shut with their service and recommendations. I work for a health insurance company and would refer this place now they done messed up! No referrals and bad reviews all over.
Got a tooth implant at Richmond Ave Dental in Staten Island for a good amount of money, and I felt it wasn't done right. Other dentistry offices in Staten Island, NY, always looked at the implant from X-rays and said it's implanted weird. My gum in that area looked infected, had some pain, and a bad smell. After six calls, someone finally picked up and said to come after 10 days to check—didn't even bother to talk to the doctors. Super frustrating experience with what should have been a straightforward procedure.
