Honestly, this crown situation at Roanoke Dental Care in Roanoke, VA was a total nightmare. They used to be great, but things have really gone downhill lately. When I needed a crown last year, they completely botched it - the temporary kept falling off over and over. The dentist actually told me it was fine to let my tooth be exposed for weeks, even though it was painful and sensitive the whole time. And this crown is supposed to be part of a bridge! I've had plenty of crowns before, both here and elsewhere, and never had anything like this happen.

The staff was super friendly and efficient, which helped me relax during my dental exam. They went through all my options for future work without any pressure - just honest advice about what needed immediate attention versus what could wait. Been going to Roanoke Dental Care for five years since moving to Roanoke, VA, and they've always made me feel welcome without any judgment. Andi, my dental hygienist, does amazing with my routine cleanings - her positive attitude and attention to detail actually make me relax in the chair. Met Dr. Howard for the first time today too, and he was excellent. Even had a tech from their Christiansburg office who worked really well with everyone. Couldn't ask for better dental providers in Virginia.

Love the team at Roanoke Dental Care in Roanoke, VA - they got me cleaned up and out quickly during my last visit. When they found a cavity during my dental exam, they were able to schedule me in super fast to take care of it. This will be my fifth year coming here, and they've always been great about fitting me in when I need dental work done.

Gave Roanoke Dental Care in Roanoke, VA my insurance info several times days before my appointment. Showed up early on the day, gave them my card again, then waited well past my appointment time. Ended up leaving. They called a few minutes later saying they were still trying to verify my insurance. Just doesn't seem like they have their act together for basic administrative stuff. Won't be going back for any dental services there.

My crown work at Roanoke Dental Care in Roanoke, VA was seriously shoddy. One of the two permanent crowns they gave me broke within days, and the other two had to be replaced within two years - one fell off, the other was already cracked. I was in constant pain the whole time. Saw five different dentists there for the same issues, felt like a rotating residency situation. Can't stress enough that you should find a better dentist in Virginia - I finally did.

If I could give less than a star I would. I was recommended by a coworker to this dentist office as it is hard to find a dentist that accepts our insurance. Upon check in I was told that they are not in network but they file with our insurance and that “based on my insurance coverage the in network and out of network was not much different.” Upon checkout for my routine preventative care I was greeted with a bill of $110. In my mind I thought I may get this back once insurance was filed but thought I should check with my insurance. In speaking with MetLife I was told that an out of network provider can charge whatever they want to and that I would have to pay them an additional $370. I immediately called the office to discuss this with office manager and he said “I don’t know why your insurance is telling you this, and that he would contact me back after they have processed the charges.” I haven’t received that call but I have received a bill for $370, this will add up to paying $480 for preventative care for which I have never paid a dime! This business completely mis- informed me, and that is putting it politely!

They were definitely fast to get me in at Roanoke Dental Care in Roanoke, VA, but the communication was a complete breakdown. Went in expecting a full new patient exam with X-rays and a treatment plan, was told maybe they could address one tooth. Front desk was nice, but then someone called my name and didn't wait - I had to figure out where to go. Got to this tiny room with a curtain, dirty equipment, stained yellow light. She asked why I was there, I explained, and she said they could only do limited X-rays and I'd have to come back. Felt really disorganized for what should have been a straightforward dental exam.

Special shoutout to my dental assistant Lisa Doolan - she's always polite, caring, and professional. Answers all my questions about dental treatment thoroughly, and if she doesn't know something, she finds someone who does. There are dozens of dentists in the Virginia valley I could choose, but it's people like Lisa, Dr. V, and the whole crew that keep me coming back year after year.

Been going to this dentist in Roanoke, VA since I was a teenager. They've always been prompt and really informative about all my dental services. Even though my favorite hygienist Heather left, I still keep coming back. Over the years, they've helped me navigate every insurance change - always communicating clearly about any payments I need to make or rescheduling when things don't work out. I was so happy to find this wonderful practice which is close to my house. The receptionist and hygienist are especially warm and friendly. The dentist is helpful. I was so sad to learn when checking out that the practice no longer accepts my insurance. I don't mind paying for routine care, but more serious dental problems could get expensive. My insurance company sent me here, so I guess I'm mad at my insurance and at myself for trusting them.
So, this is a wonderful practice and I am very disappointed that I can't go back.

What a great practice! Not only did I love Dr Davis but Taylor did wonderful assisting. The staff was very thorough with the treatment estimate and they let us know what was going to be done prior to doing it. I recommend this office to everyone! My 4 yr old left there saying she had fun! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
