The Buena Vista office has a fantastic staff. Super friendly and willing to answer any questions. The technicians are great at explaining things and will re-ask you the questions the dentist asks while he has his hands in your mouth. But that's not why you go to the dentist. Dr. Deshaun is the BEST. He has a great sense of humor and a calming voice that makes you relax. For me that is a big help. He also knows what he is doing. He pulled several of my teeth and I didn't even know he was done. I've been coming here for emergency dental care and general dentistry, and I couldn't be happier.

Went in for a deep cleaning. Dr. Al did a great job, as did his assistant. It turned out not as bad as I expected! Part 2 is in a couple weeks, and I'm not as apprehensive now. Dr. Al has been my dentist for a while and has helped with everything from an emergency broken tooth to crowns, fillings, and now this deep clean. I feel very comfortable letting him work on my teeth. Great general dentistry in Buena Vista.

My dentist is the best there is. Always professional and let's me know what he is going to do. He even laughs at my corny jokes. I enjoy my visits mostly. Not a fan of needles, I'm not a pin cushion.

I like Sean Gunnutz. He is a good doctor. The only thing is they didn't find anything wrong with me, but I still feel real sick with a lot of issues. Thank you for caring for me. Checked in, within 5 minutes was taken to be weighed, vitals taken, and I was in the room. Nurse took blood pressure and confirmed meds. Within another 5 minutes, Dr. Gannutz was in to see me. Very pleasant visit and a very compassionate staff from check-in to checkout. Great job! Efficient dental exams and cleanings in Buena Vista.

Dr. Gannutz Is always very kind and compassionate. He listens and addresses my needs. I recently had a problem present that required immediate attention. I called first thing that morning and within 2 hours I was in his office. Being seen in any doctor’s office on the same day without an appointment rarely happens, but Dr. Gannutz understood the crisis I was in and saw me right away. I am pleased to have him as my doctor and Rockbridge County is very fortunate to have him.

My daughter and I see Dr. Clevinger. It's convenient that he provides care at the Rockbridge Area Health main office and Kendal location. He explains everything and helps with chronic illness. He's very friendly and family oriented. Everyone at the health center is friendly, caring, and easy to understand. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new PCP. The dental team is amazing too! Great for low-cost dental care and general dentistry in Buena Vista.

I never give reviews but after chemo, my teeth took a toll, so I went to Mountain View Family Dentistry to get them back on track. First three times were great, but during deep cleaning, the front desk apparently got prior authorization through my secondary insurance instead of my primary, even though I gave both cards each time. I went in for one side, then was scheduled for the other side, but got a call last week about the insurance issue. Really frustrating when you're trying to get low-cost dental care.

The ladies at the front were very nice. The dental assistants were very nice. Dr. AL seemed very short but I chalked it up to him being busy.
I went in for three fillings. Dr Al seemed to have a hard time getting my face numb and got rather rough. I left out completely numb and had to return a few hours later due to excruciating pain and my bite being so off it was causing pain in teeth he didn't work on. The next morning the entire side of my face was swollen. I called to see what I should do and was told he was out of town until Tuesday. I went into the Lexington office Friday and saw a different dentist who said the pain/swelling was likely from the roughness when he was doing the work and it should go down. We are at Tuesday and my teeth hurt so bad I want to pull them out myself. I am waiting to hear back from the Lexington office but they mentioned calling in antibiotics.
If you're looking for pain and infection, then this is the perfect dentist for you. Otherwise, I'd strongly advise steering clear of this office.
I was in no pain at all when I went in for the fillings and now am absolutely miserable with no definite end in sight.

It makes me really sad that I feel put in this position to not put 5 stars, but feedback is feedback. First off, I LOVE dentist Dr. Steven W., he is great and funny and I couldn't ask more from a dental professional. My issue has been with the front desk and policy. If you have 3 missed appointments, you are no longer allowed to make appointments, you have to call EVERY DAY to see if they have cancellations. NO one has time for that. I understand that policies are put in place for a reason, but there also should be some middle ground, right? I completely forgot about one appointment, I'm human, I forgot, I'm sorry. The other two appointments I KNEW I couldn't make them and I tried calling more than 24 hours ahead of time to cancel and reschedule. No one answered. I left a voicemail. No one called back. I called again. Again, no answer. By the time someone got back to me, the appointment time had come and gone. It was NOT my fault, I tried contacting someone to cancel within a timely manner. Their front desk phone number is also not easily found online and by the time I had the most direct number to contact them, it was too late. I now can't see the dentist that my insurance takes in town, that is down the street from me, that I already have history with, that I enjoyed going to. I have to find a NEW dentist that is most likely an hour away, and I have to start over just for me to move out of state in 2 months. I am beyond disappointed and angry that they are absolutely unwilling to work with me.
