Found this place as a top-rated dentist under my insurance in New York, but that might change. Had a 10:00 teeth cleaning appointment, showed up at 9:45. Front desk woman was in socks and slides, which felt unprofessional. Didn't get to the chair until 10:30. X-rays were fine—she spotted my old fillings and said no cavities, so she knows her stuff. But between X-rays and the cleaning, she started wiping down her AC unit and window sill with a Clorox wipe. Just seemed like a weird time for cleaning, honestly.

Love Dr. Cheung in New York. She's honest and doesn't do unnecessary work, which is a relief. Expect to wait a bit to see her since she's the only dentist, but she's totally worth it. This office is on the 2nd floor below a travel agency in New York, NY. Hadn't been to a dentist in over 20 years because my teeth were getting bad, so my dad recommended Dr. Cheung. Was a bit sketchy at first due to a childhood trauma with a dentist who pulled the wrong tooth. Walked in and was greeted by the twin sisters—super friendly. Wait time was decent, as expected. When it was my turn, no judgment at all. They took time to explain my teeth status. Dr. Cheung was very gentle; no anesthetic needed, and it was so comfortable I almost fell asleep. Honestly, a great experience for emergency dental care after so long.

Gotta agree with another patient here—I'd question the ethical standards. Felt like scare tactics were used, and she extracted a tooth that might've been saved. Then she recommended an expensive implant in New York, which could've been avoided. I'm getting second opinions now, and I don't think bone grafting was even needed. Really disappointing experience with what seemed like unnecessary procedures.
