For the first time in my life, I actually like my dentist! I found Sherman Oaks Cosmetic & Implant Dental Group almost by accident — they were the only dentist in Sherman Oaks that took my insurance. After some really bad experiences elsewhere (I walked out of my last dentist after one visit), I gave them a try and never looked back. Hallie and Josee are the sweetest — they greet me by name with a smile every single time. I've never waited more than 10 minutes, and they're super accommodating of my late work schedule. I'm even doing orthodontics again with braces, and it's been a breeze. Highly recommend!

Honestly, this place was a letdown. I had a deep cleaning that felt rushed — ended up needing another one just 3 months later. Then a crown I got less than 2 years ago popped off last week. Dr. Parham was rude and argumentative when I brought up my concerns and asked for a refund. I paid about $1000 for that crown, and they only gave back $300, and he was super apprehensive about even that. The receptionist is nice, but that's about it. Not happy at all.

Couldn't be happier with the service at this oral surgeon's office. Front desk staff Josie was incredibly knowledgeable, super helpful, and very professional. She helped me navigate a bunch of insurance issues with Delta Dental — other offices had given me the runaround, but she was patient and made sense of everything. Delta even commented on how nice and professional she was. After my visit, she laid out a clear treatment plan. Really impressed with the whole team.

I had a molar extracted and a bone graph
done (in one visit) by Dr Parham. I felt no
pain during the surgery nor afterwards,
which for me was so unexpected and
wonderful. If anyone is fearful of having
dental work done, or if you have had a bad
experience at the dentist office, or if you're
just shopping around for an excellent
dentist, then Dr Parham is your man. And
the icing on the cake are: a clean
environment, a professional and friendly staff.
This office is a scam! They overbook appointments and give zero personal attention. My insurance checked if they could do a tooth extraction for my 5-year-old son — they said yes, so I waited almost a month for the appointment. On the day, they did an X-ray and a quick polish, then the doctor said my son needed a pediatric dentist instead. When I tried to explain how frustrating and wasteful this was, the doctor wouldn't even listen. Total waste of time.

As a new patient, I was impressed with the professionalism of both the dental and office staff. Good communication and a relaxed, comfortable environment. Dr. Parham really instilled confidence. Update April 2025: This office has been our family dentist for several years now, and we're still satisfied with the care and support. They have an excellent appointment reminder system and are very patient with insurance questions.

Not great for toddler general dentistry. The staff was nice, but the location isn't toddler or kids friendly. They admitted their equipment is for adults. I'd recommend going somewhere that caters to toddlers and kids.

Both my partner and I can't say enough great things about this office! It's rare to find a medical office where everyone — including the office staff — is amazing. It's so comforting knowing it's always a stress-free experience, whether in person or on the phone. Dealing with insurance and finances is usually a headache, but the staff here is unbelievably patient and understanding. When I first came, I'd already been to 5 other dentists over several years trying to figure out how to replace a 30-year-old bridge. So glad I finally found them.

Absolutely terrible. Terrible communication, sketchy diagnosis, total scams. Call and ask them to send you your account statement, and cross reference it with your insurance claims. They overcharged by over $1000+, when insurance said we owed nothing. You should not be “upsold” by your dentist. No insurance company should let them be an HMO provider.

The only positive thing I can say is that the office staff is often polite and the view from the windows is nice. I came to Dr. Parham for a second opinion. He was dismissive, and the office staff — though nice — has been a mess. Dr. Parham said he'd have a report and treatment recommendations within a week. I gave it two weeks, called, and they said he hadn't even started but would follow up. They never called. I followed up a week later — same story. No progress. They promise, but don't deliver.

I am grateful for the care and restoration that is taking place at this moment. Whether it’s been a cleaning, a filling, a crown or surgery I am both relived and grateful that we were able to work together and come up with a plan. I have learned a lot about the how to take proper care of certain areas and just expanded my knowledge base in general thanks to the kind and patient receptionists, assistants and doctors in this office. Along with X-Rays and HD cameras they will take the time to explain and answer all of your questions and make sure that you are aware of what is taking place at all times. They care about what they are doing, they don’t cut corners, they use the right materials. When you come here you are getting a solution not an experiment. I rarely ever even felt a thing while I was being worked on. I was numbed up as much as was needed and anything afterwards was easily handled by a few Advil. Getting to know everyone has been a pleasure as well and has made it so that I look forward to my visits. I know I am in good and capable hands. I would recommend this office to anyone as your first stop in your dental and oral hygiene journey. I am also grateful for all the information on their website, email communication along with text message reminders of upcoming appointments.

I've had such a great experience with Dr. Parham and his staff. Since I didn't have insurance for a while, I was really anxious about the work I needed. Please find another office QUICK! The only good thing is it's clean — otherwise they cleaned me out and stole my money. Parham has obviously done this before (check Yelp, I wish I had). He knows the ins and outs of what he can get away with. I only got back about a quarter of what I paid, thanks to small claims court and my insurance forcing a refund for non-treatment. Chairside manner? Lacking compassion. I had to get financed again with another dentist and finally got the care I deserved.

Jose the chief administrator explained and listed to me feedback They submitted my pre authorization to my insurance . The assistant was excellent also she took the one ex-ray The doctor cam in and reviewed the x-ray and left So when treatment is began I can write further but so far my experience excellent/

I've been a patient of Dr Parham for a while. He did an implant for me last year and the experience was very pleasant and painless. He is a true professional. He explains the procedures in a tone and language that patients could understand and he is extremely patient and gentle. I took my daughter to him yesterday to extract her wisdom teeth and my daughter who is terrified of needles and doctors in general was all smiles before and after the procedure and complemented Dr. Parham a few times. First time I had heard her complement a doctor! Dr. Parham is one the best Periodontists I've ever been to and an amazing human being. Jay T

You can easily tell that the staff really enjoys their work, as does the dentist, which is a huge plus. Dr. Parham is the most friendly dentist I've ever encountered. His staff makes you feel like part of the family. The environment is always comforting, aesthetic, and relaxing.
