My son hated dental appointments but doesn't complain about going to Shine. Dr. Briney and her staff are amazing! The front desk is friendly and helpful. My son's least favorite part of getting a filling is afterwards when the numbing sensation is wearing off. Dr. Briney was able to numb just the tooth she was working on and as the numbness waned the feeling wasn't as profound and he didn't complain or cry about it as usual. Front desk follows up after proceedures as well, they really care.

A few months ago, my son fell causing a tooth to become dislodged. The office immediately saw us, despite an already booked schedule, and took the best care of my son. The entire time in the office, they not only eased his fear but also ours by explaining the options and each step as they treated him. We are so thankful for Dr. Briney and team!

We started taking both of our kids here at 3 YO and they both LOVE going to the dentist. They are so kind, patient and talk the kids through everything in a way they can understand what is going on.
They get a prize going in and get to watch a show as they get their teeth cleaned. They make it a fun and easy process for the kid and the parent!

We've been bringing our son to Shine Pediatric Dentistry in Downers Grove since 2022, and every visit has been great! I'm really impressed with how they treat young patients - the environment is so welcoming from the moment you arrive. The dentists and hygienist are calm and gentle, so my son has never been scared. Love that there's a TV with kids' videos in the waiting room, and they let children pick something to watch during procedures. There's even a desk for parents to work if needed. Their pediatric dental exams are just so well thought-out.

This was our first visit and we were so pleased. The hygienist was amazing and explained everything. I was given the option to come back and be with my child, and the dentist, Dr Briney explained all of her reasoning and gave many options for treatment. It was the dental experience we had been looking for. So grateful!
We absolutely love Shine!! My 5 year old had 8 cavities and I was mortified. Dr. Briney made my daughter feel safe and had taken care of all of them in just a couple appointments. Her hygienist are wonderful with the kids too. I always refer anyone I know because they are the best!

Absolutely blown away! If I could give Shine more than 5 stars I would. My daughter was welcomed as a new patient with a cute little sign in front, she loves the movie that was put on, the fish tank, everyone was super patient. Plus the mid century modern decor was beautiful. Our first visit here & we loved it.
