Honestly, I was pretty anxious about going to the dentist, but everyone at Smile Bright Dental in Edison, NJ made me feel so comfortable. From the front desk to Dr. Z and Dr. Shaikh, they all have this great demeanor—super personable and really know their stuff. Robert the hygienist was super gentle during my cleaning too. Couldn't be happier with my experience here!

I really can't stress enough how deceptive this place in Edison seems. Was quoted $1800 per tooth for dental work, then $340, and when I called to confirm before my appointment, they said $1500. Feels like no one was gonna tell me until after the work was done. Wish I could give zero stars for these practices.

Half a star—worst dentist ever in Edison. Terrible cleaning, and they couldn't repair a filling in my front tooth even after four tries. Kept falling out, though the original filling lasted years. Finally said they couldn't do it and just refunded my copay. Front desk was sweet, but this dentist seems inexperienced. Don't waste your time.

Elaine at the front desk started things off right with a warm office environment in Edison. Dr. Miceli was so caring and compassionate—took her time explaining my crown replacement and actually listened when I had questions. Tanya the tech was great too, even put a cold paper towel on my head. They worked patiently on my temporary crown until it was smooth. Really impressed.

It’s a shame I had high hopes for this place. The staff greeting was extremely polite and helpful. The dentist and billing were rude and condescending when asked to explain things. With all businesses suffering during these hard times I’d suggest taking a good look at how you handle patients. Word travels fast. Will not be returning and I do not recommend.
Extra stars from me! I'm usually petrified of dental offices, but came in with a patient and saw how gentle and professional everyone was at this Edison spot. Tina at reception and Fanny the manager were welcoming and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend, even though they don't take my insurance. Left really impressed.

She was patient and thorough, really listened to my anxieties and created a treatment plan that made moving forward with my care feel easy. Been going to Smile Bright Dental in Edison for over 30 years, and they're always so accommodating with scheduling. Dr. Illes, Ilene, and the whole staff are wonderful. Belinda is amazing with my boys—especially helped my younger one when he was hesitant at age 5. Now they're 9 and 18, and we all love our little dental family here.

Dr. David Illes is the best Dentist! My family and I have gone to Dr. Illes for several years. I personally have been fortunate to find a dentist who truly cares about his patients and does the most excellent work. He is very articulate in his work and his office is very clean. I have known the staff for years as well and they were always very cordial and professional. Dr. Illes always is able to zero in on any issues and does only the necessary work that is needed, not like other offices who will try and do unnecessary work. Dr. Illes worked with me in finding the best available options and I have always been very happy with the outcome of all of my dental work. Thank you Dr. Illes, for always caring about all of your patience and having a great demeanor as well. It's a tough mix to find such a knowledgeable and great dentist like yourself!
I've been a patient for just about 10 years now, and have appreciated all that Dr. Illes has done for me. Ilene is also great, along with my old hygienist. All of them are worth a five star review. The office seems to have taken on a lot of new staff recently, and my last visit felt like taking my car in to a dealership for service, where it seemed they were doing all they could to upcharge me for a regular visit, trying to sell me a mouth guard, flouride rinse, and even going so far as to try to convince me of the need to correct some of Dr. Illes' prior work. Not the atmosphere I had come to appreciate.
Super friendly staff! They really took the time for a thorough dental check/cleaning and discuss my concerns. Doc fixed my front tooth that has been chipped for years...and looks better than ever!
They may have a new name, with a new doctor added to the team, but still great service as always!
I highly recommend Smile Bright Dental for all of your dental needs. For quite a few years, I have been scheduling my cleanings with Gina. Gina is not only personable, but she is very thorough while still being gentle. Cleanings are always a stress free experience, as are all of my experiences in the office with Ilene- making, changing or calling in for an emergency. I've been a patient of Dr. Illes' for over 20 years, so, of course, I highly recommend him! Recently, I had a night guard made by Dr. MIceli and a crown done by Dr. Patel. I was very anxious about going to someone besides Dr. Illes, but both, Dr. Miceli and Dr. Patel, made me feel at ease and both are knowledgeable and well trained dentists. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with Smile Bright Dental!
I've been going to Dr Illes for over 10 years. He's attentive, down to earth, and just a real person. Obviously, he does great work, too.
But a professional is only as strong as those who work alongside him. His Office Manager Ilene is attentive, stays on top of everything, and extremely personable, along with everyone else in the front office. And Belinda, my Hygienist, is fun to chat with, does an awesome job, and stays on schedule! (that's a big one for me 😉 )
I can't really say that I like going to the dentist, but this crew makes it alright. 😊

I have been going to Dr. Illes since I was a very little girl. There was a period of time due to moving by Philadelphia that I was seeing different dentists local to me and they were the worst but luckily it was only cleanings they did.
When I became old enough to choose… I found the man responsible for my perfect smile …. Dr. Illes!! When I was a young teenager he did my braces and now he make sure my teeth stay in good health. The compliments I get on my smile are all owed to him and his staff…. and I tell people that too!
Dr. Illes staff, Eileen and all of the girls are the sweetest and so personable.

Dr. Illes has been my dentist in Edison for 33 years, and I've never had any issues. Can't remember my last cavity, and never needed a filling, crown, or root canal. He and his staff truly care, making each visit a pleasure. Hygienists Lucy and Belinda and office manager Eileen are the best—so thankful to avoid those dental horror stories!

Visited this dental office after putting off going to the dentist for a couple of years due to a bad experience with another dentist in the area. My husband and I are very glad we chose to go to this office. Everyone was warm and friendly and seemed to genuinely care about our dental wellness. Belinda did my cleaning which was very thorough and my teeth felt cleaner and looked noticeably whiter after I left. Dr. Miceli listened to my concerns about a bonding on my front tooth that keeps chipping off due to my bite. She fixed my bonding and took an approach that 3 other dentists hadn't tried. My bonding looks great and feels much more secure. I also had 2 cavities filled by Dr. Miceli which was a quick and painless experience.
