Honestly, I really regret going to Smile Center Silicon Valley in Sunnyvale. The equipment had residue on it, which was gross. They gave me a wildly inaccurate estimate, then blamed me for it and refused to fix it. Cassandra, the office manager, was unhelpful and rude. I had to fight just to split a $700+ bill into two payments when I was expecting to pay way less. Please avoid this place.

Been coming to Smile Center Silicon Valley for 3 years now. Dr. John is really skilled and takes time to explain everything. He's gentle and patient, even with anxious patients. I've had cleanings and fillings here, always great results. Couldn't be happier with the care in Sunnyvale.

Something has to change at this place in Sunnyvale. I've come in for one procedure and ended up having different teeth drilled without proper consent. They brought consent forms after starting. Later I found out some fillings were unnecessary. Not good bedside manner, and I'm concerned about HIPAA issues. Not my new dentist.

The dentist was nice but I had a bad experience. Instead of replacing my permanent retainer, he suggested a bite adjustment. That didn't prevent my teeth from shifting—gap came back after expensive orthodontic treatment. He didn't mention the cost, and I got a several hundred dollar bill. Also gave a long list of needed work without estimates. Not great.

My dentist retired, so I tried Smile Center Silicon Valley in Sunnyvale for the first time. Everything went smoothly—friendly staff, gentle hygienist, and Dr. John was personable and knowledgeable. The office was super clean. Took over 2 hours for new patient visit, but honestly the best dental office visit I've ever had. Highly recommend.

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Smile center Silicon valley dental. The treatment I received was not performed properly, leading to ongoing dental issues and discomfort. Despite multiple visits and considerable expense, the quality of care did not meet my expectations. Follow-up communication has been inadequate, and my concerns about the ineffective treatment were not satisfactorily addressed.I am now seeking another dental professional to rectify the situation. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend to anyone looking for thorough and reliable dental care.

I've been seeing Dr. Vellequette for about 2 years. I feel safe with him—he always has a plan and listens to my thoughts. The front desk team is super helpful and makes me feel comfortable. Only con: waiting time is long, plan for 2 hours including cleaning and exam. Wish they'd give a heads up. Otherwise, 5 stars.

Yesterday was a good reminder of why I drive 30 minutes in traffic from San Jose to Sunnyvale to go to this practice. I had a cavity that needed to be filled, an appointment that I’ve rescheduled several times and put off due to being a nervous dental patient. But as always, the staff, dental assistant, and dentist took extraordinary efforts to make me comfortable and as relaxed as possible.
They spent extra time sitting in the room talking with me before the Novocain injection to reduce the anxiety. The assistant and dentist stayed in the office to distract me with warm conversation while the numbing progresses, (and pamper me by continually asking if the seat angle is still comfortable, if I’m cold and would like a blanket, if I’ve changed my mind and want headphones to listen to the show I’m watching, etc).
From the first step into the office to the last step when I leave, the team is kind, warm, and compassionate
Truthfully, I feel guilty about the extra efforts they take to make my experience positive. As a business owner I understand the cost and disruption. And as a human I recognize it makes their day longer and more tiring. But I’m so very grateful for that kindness during the appointment, and their warmth at every other cleaning and visit.
My experience with Dr Vellequette always has been excellent.. He is a man of experience who explains in details the dental care he is providing . He is easy to understand and listens to your concerns .His assistants are always helpful and kind.. I like to go there.
Dr. Vellequette and his staff are the best team I’ve ever had work on my teeth. They always take the time to explain everything going to me and break it down in a way I can easily understand. I never have any concerns about my teeth after I leave and my Invisalign treatment has left me with a life changing confidence. I’ve never been to another dentist in the bay, but I’m pretty confident they are the best you can find.
Amazing! I cracked the veneer on one of my front teeth and I had a plane to catch the next day. Dr Vellequette is a true artist when it comes to making beautiful smiles-really. They fit me in right away and repaired the veneer. It is a perfect color match to my teeth. His staff are very friendly and welcoming. His assistant, Joanie is really sweet and professional. She is a great asset to his practice. I highly recommend Dr Vellequette and his staff!
