Started going to Dr. Shouhed's practice last year for a cleaning and I've been back for cavity fillings and whitening. The entire staff, especially Sandy, are so nice, patient, caring, and friendly. They make the whole process easy and painless, from cleanings to fillings. The office is beautiful, calming, and clean. And there's a sweet dog Axel to pet! If you're in LA and need cosmetic dentistry, I highly recommend them.

Dr. Shouhed and his staff are the best. They always make me feel welcome and take good care of me. They work with my insurance, and if it doesn't cover something, they help me find a way to make it happen so I don't have to worry about not getting my tooth fixed. In Los Angeles, that's rare. Great for emergency dentistry or any dental work.

I was a new patient. Brought myself and my son. Visit went well. Found out about some things I wasn't aware of. I just want a healthy mouth. Definitely going to cost but what doesn't. Park in one of the $10 lots, parking in the building is $30. Very clean office. You will love Axel, the doctor's dog. In Los Angeles, good for cosmetic dentistry and family care.

Had a great experience. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, starting with Sandy at the front desk. She runs a meticulous program and is always kind and professional. Her interpersonal skills are 10/10. Dr. Shouhed went out of his way to make sure I was at ease and explained everything to eliminate my anxiety. I have crippling dental fear from prior experiences, and Dr. Shouhed makes it all go away. The office is clean, modern, and well maintained. Super fancy, honestly. They have all the latest gadgets.

Had to have a crown installed and it was not an easy one. Upper back cavity and it took three separate visits. I was only in town for a couple weeks. They were able to get me in and out before I had to leave town. They took my insurance. Amazing! Very cordial and professional.

Dr. David Shouhed was my general dentist for a couple of years from 2018 to 2020. It's been a while, but I'm writing because I'm still dealing with the after effects and costs of his substandard work. Routine cleanings were fine, office clean, staff friendly, but there was some upselling. The problems started with more involved treatment. He did a crown and a root canal with a crown on a front tooth, and I've had issues ever since. Not happy with the cosmetic dentistry results.

Dr. Shouhed and his team are incredible. I have really bad anxiety at dental offices from past experiences, but Sandy was super understanding and calming. She went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and clearly explained the pricing and treatment plan without overwhelming me. Dr. Shouhed is extremely patient and truly cares. The team even brought me blankets and checked in often. That made a huge difference. If you need sedation dentistry or just a gentle touch in Los Angeles, this is the place.

Dr. Shouhed is amazing! Sandy, the office manager, is super nice and runs things smoothly. All the assistants are skilled and really pay attention to detail. Cindy, my hygienist, is also very kind and good at what she does. The office itself is beautiful, like a spa, and the vibe is always calm and consistent. Best office ever! The staff is so professional and kind. Dr. David did 8 veneers for me and they turned out like a dream, worth every penny. They even have a puppy named Axel who helped calm my anxiety. The office is super pretty, like a spa. If you're in LA and considering cosmetic dentistry or Lumineers, this is the place.

All the staff here is very nice and caring. The dentist and hygienist were attentive to my fear of the dentist and did their best to make me comfortable. However, they definitely upsell and do more proactive treatments vs. a conservative approach. Like other reviews, I was talked into antibiotics and laser treatment for gum disease not covered by insurance. I didn't notice a change. Also told I needed a crown. Felt pressured.

This was the best dentist I've ever been to, I'm never going anywhere else ever again. I've been petrified of the dentist since I was a kid, and once I turned 18 and there wasn't a parent to MAKE me go to the dentist I just stopped going. It had been years since I'd seen a dentist. I called ahead of time and was talked through it by a very nice woman on the phone who was super non judgmental even though I cried while we were on the phone. The dental hygienist was patient, kind and gentle. I had to have a deep cleaning and a number of numbing shots in my mouth; I never thought I would be able to sit still for something like that. He was so kind, and while I did cry a bunch it wasn't really that bad at all. The dentist himself, Dr. Shouhed, was AWESOME. He was so nice, he introduced himself to me as David, he joked around a lot and he made me comfortable and helped me through my cavity filling which I'd put off for years. I wish I had more characters so I could write more, 100/10 Dr.
Read all the 1 star reviews on Yelp before coming here. This practice is money-hungry. They will convince you that you need expensive, unnecessary treatments (antibiotics, lasers, etc). They tried to book me for cleanings 4x per year without any explanation and every visit got hundreds of dollars out of me. Everything they do is to maximize profit. When I was told I needed a laser treatment for my gums and there was no other alternative, I realized they were going to keep inventing expensive solutions to problems that don’t exist. I switched to a new dentist who says my teeth look great, recommends twice annual cleanings, and hasn’t suggested any expensive treatments. It’s a shame that places like Smile Perfector are allowed to be in business.
Currently healing from 2 broken molar (difficult) extractions and bone graft. The experience itself was not the best because of the nature of the situation and the reality that I should have gotten this done much sooner.
BUT I will say the general dentist I think his name is Dr. Kim were super patient with me through the extraction process. It was very uncomfortable and I think at one point a threw a soft spoken fit 😂. However Dr. Kim said, to my surprise, I did well. He also explained that a lot of patients struggle with the pressure feeling of the extraction which helped me understand my situation better.
My primary feedback is initial communication about steps during the process as I find this very helpful to not be caught off guard by any pain or discomfort I did not anticipate experience. Ill be having a follow up on 9/8 and getting implants in December. Im very happy that I am able to receive care at this location. They're really nice, to the point, and the wait time is never long❤️.
Dr Shouhed the smiler PERFECTOR makes going to the dentist enjoyable. His staff is super friendly, the office is modern and gorgeous, and his work is painless and effective. Plus David is absolutely amazing and makes you feel right at home.
I highly recommend as my teeth truly have never looked better!
My experience at Smile Perfector Dental Group was exceptional from the moment I called to inquire about booking an appointment. The staff went out of their way to provide incredible, friendly service, and offered a spa-like experience from start to finish. I booked in for a routine check up and cleaning, and was treated promptly and efficiently. The treatment was painless and thorough. I felt wonderfully relaxed for the duration of the appointment, and genuinely enjoyed my time speaking to Dr. Shouhed. After examining my teeth and X-rays, he explained in great detail his professional recommendations moving forward should I wish to return to the practice for future treatments. I cannot recommend this dental practice highly enough, and sincerely look forward to my next visit!
When I first came to Dr. Shouhed, I had quite a few cavities and honestly hadn’t been taking great care of my teeth. From the beginning, he and his team were kind, straightforward, and never made me feel bad about where I was starting. Over time, with regular cleanings and some really practical advice, my dental health improved a ton. I also went through Invisalign here, which was surprisingly easy to keep up with, and I’m really happy with how my teeth turned out. The new office is nice and roomy, everyone’s friendly, and appointments are always smooth. I've had a really good experience all around—definitely a place you can feel comfortable coming back to.
