Had a car accident and my car was totaled, so I couldn't make my appointment at Snyder Dental Clinic in Fort Gordon. Called to cancel, and they told me I had to come in person to cancel. They knew my car was wrecked. No empathy at all. Really disappointing.

After reading all the negative reviews, I was nervous, but my visit for a dental cleaning was actually great. Everyone was respectful, kind, and patient. The dentist answered my questions and gave good advice. The hygienist was gentle but thorough. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the focus on efficiency—like the speaker system and having to put on my own radiation bib. Not a huge deal, but kept it from being perfect.

The front desk is extremely unprofessional. I called 12 times before someone answered, and when they did, they gave me attitude right away. I was just trying to confirm my appointment because it wasn't showing in the system. They said, 'You know you can look it up right?' They've also picked up and hung up on me. Honestly, dealing with them is the worst part. They seem to hate their jobs and everyone they talk to.

I needed two fillings that I missed, and she let me take my friend's appointment that day and scheduled me for the next day. She was so kind and patient with me and everyone else. Worst dental experience of my life. I should have checked reviews before trusting them to extract a tooth. I felt everything during the procedure. They broke my tooth down, and it was painful. I cried and told them I could feel it, but the assistant just said 'you're feeling pressure.' I've had extractions before with no pain. They didn't even remove it entirely. When I asked for gauze because I was bleeding, the assistant angrily said 'you don't need it.'

Sadly, customer service doesn't matter here, even if you're permanent duty station. They require walk-ins just for a preliminary appointment where the doctor glances in your mouth. I waited 3 hours for that, just to schedule another appointment for a cleaning. Also had a creepy doctor make inappropriate comments about gag reflexes. I'd rather pay for quality care elsewhere.

Worst dental experience ever. The front desk staff are rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. I tried twice to get a mouth guard fitted. First time, they canceled after I waited an hour. Second time, I missed class and waited over 2 hours, then they said my appointment was canceled again. The lady said she was calling my phone number wrong, but somehow it was my fault. Unbelievable.

Communication isn't great here, but what really got me was my last filling appointment. The dentist was in a hurry and accidentally cut my top lip with the drill and busted my bottom lip so bad I can't eat or drink without intense pain. Teeth feel fine, I guess, but that was awful.

They consistently treat students like scum, lose dental records, make it incredibly hard to get appointments, and often don't update appointments in the system. We've had to get command involved multiple times because they fail to take care of Soldiers. Once you get past the gatekeepers, the care is okay, but the service level is unacceptable.
