I had previously went to plaza dental in Des Moines for treatment for invisiline as well as regular cleanings. I had reached out to Dr.Nelson’s office for continued care due to it being much closer and less of a drive. I called and he immediately scheduled me for a routine cleaning. The office was a very homie. The staff was very kind with explaining the forms I needed to fill out. They made casual conversation while I waited to be taken back to start the cleaning. The cleaning itself was painless, bleeding very little in my gums. They made sure they asked regularly if I was doing okay and if I needed anything. When Dr. Nelson came in he was very kind and professional. Spoke to me as a friend and not just a patient. I left smiling and feeling at ease. When I left I made sure I scheduled my children for a cleaning. He saw them within a week. Again when I took my children in he introduced himself and educated them on what they would be doing. He regularly asked if they were doing okay making sure he made them feel comfortable during their first experience at a dentist. Both children were finished within an hour making it quick and painless. They were excited to receive candy and a toy when they were all finished. I highly recommend Dr.Nelson he is very kind and professional. He informs you on what you need to have done and is very straight forward which is something I look for in a dentist. If he feels like he can’t treat you he goes out of his way to make referrals so that you still can be seen and taken care of. The one thing I really like is his honestly and knowing that when I go to see him he will be truthful and honest about treatment. He’s not a dentist that will sell you products you don’t need. He also respects you and listens to you. The office dog Ollie is also a wonderful addition. Staff are wonderful. Very kind and humble. They make sure they go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful experience.

He even went as far to tell me what we could do now to prevent other, more serious things later.
