Honestly, what a frustrating experience at Stooksberry Family Dental in Martin, TN. Had a 4pm appointment for emergency dental care, got there early at 3:50, checked in, and just sat there. Nobody told me they were running behind or anything—could hear people talking and laughing in the back. Waited until they closed at 4:30 and left without ever being seen. Total waste of time. Guess I'll be looking for another dentist around here.

Went to Stooksberry Family Dental in Martin for what should've been a root canal and crown on one tooth. Ended up with two teeth damaged instead. They put temporary crowns on both, but one fell off before I even got home. Went back the next day to get it reattached, and it fell out again that same afternoon. Had to wait six weeks without a crown on the root canal tooth. When I finally went back months later for the permanent crowns, they had to burn my gums back to make enough tooth for the crown to hold. Just a mess from start to finish.

My husband is a disabled veteran, the va made him an appointment and when we got there the woman at the front desk was very rude. She said he didn’t have an appointment and made my husband show her his phone where he had the information from the va about his appointment. She then said he would just have to wait to get worked in. It’s a shame to treat a veteran so disrespectful. I would not recommend them to anyone
Been going to this Martin dental office for over 42 years, since Dr. Foley owned it. Always been professional and helpful. But today I called about a broken tooth with part of the root coming out—needed emergency dental care—and they said they couldn't see me until the second week of August. That's weeks away! After decades as a patient, I'm just heartbroken by this response.

Absolutely the best dentist in my book. I have had the best experience with Dr. Stooksberry. Not only is he an awesome dentist, He has the best attitude and since of humor. Dr. Stioksberry takes his time, makes sure you are completely numb and completely comfortable before he begins his work. In the past I have not been so lucky in a dentist chair.
Would not recommend. My daughter is a type one diabetic and everyone knows you have to take extra precautions with diabetics, this office didn't. She had a tooth to break off, went to get the tooth filled or fixed. After him wotking on the tooth was in worse shape and suffered in pain for 2 weeks. She called and went back 2 times , nothing was done for the pain nor did he figure out what was wrong. He didnt listen to his patient. I got her to see another dentist, (another dentist bill and the insurance wouldn't pay for the exam or xrays. On the same tooth) she ended up having an abscess that got so big and broke open. It affected the root to that tooth. The second dentist sent her to Jackson to a specialist for a root canal, After antibiotics and the infection was gone. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE.
I had the worst experience here’s. I had an appointment at 9 am. It appeared to be fine but once I was numbed it all went to Hell. I am a Doctor and a Professional and to be treated like dirt is not right. I feel like bc I am a Gay Black Man I was treated unfairly. And I am proud of who I am and if my green gay money is not good enough for them then they can go kiss dirt. I ended up waiting a hour and a half just sitting in a stupid chair. No one said the doctor is tired up nothing. I have never had to wait that long or have the front office get mad because I chose to leave. I got up and left. #aretheyserious #iwontbeback
I was happy with my visit from start to finish. Dr. and staff are very nice people. I was informed of everything they were doing and they made sure I was VERY comfortable throughout procedure. This is the only place that I have went and felt comfortable. Dr. Stooksberry is the best and gave me my smile back!
I feel very happy about my visit. I went to have a crown replaced, and they charged exactly what they told me over the phone. I am very grateful for the work that they did, and if I have anymore problems. I will be going back to them.
