Dr. Cross is the best around. I've been to some nightmare dentists before. Moved to Stuart 6 years ago and found Stuart Family Dental. They fixed all those nightmares—got crowns, cavities filled, and an implant done here. His referrals are top notch. Receptionist was really rude. I called to set an appointment for my husband who needs a kidney transplant and has to see a dentist first. They accept our insurance but won't take him because we live too far away. This is the only dentist within 50 miles of our home in Stuart, IA. Now we have to travel over 100 miles and wait 4 months for a dental clearance. I get that the receptionist doesn't make policy, but still frustrating.

Ames Cross is one of the best dentist's if not THE BEST dentist I've ever been to. I had one the worst dental experiences in my life at Aspen Dental in Des Moines, where they attempted to drill and fill a "small" cavity; then told me I would have to have the tooth pulled because it was too deep and left me with a temporary filling, in terrible pain for the next two days, and my bite severely uneven. Then I found this guy, and he fixed it without a problem. Didn't have to pull it, just re-drilled it and filled it. My bite was perfect and there was absolutely ZERO pain when the numbing wore off. Thanks Again Doc!
