As much as I hate going to the dentist, going to Sunrise Dental in Federal Way has been way more pleasant. The front desk staff, each dental assistant or hygienist, and especially the dentist are super friendly and always check to see if you're comfortable. The dentist uses a sock man which I think helps avoid that digging feeling during cleanings, so it's less stressful on your teeth and gums. Honestly, it makes a big difference.

Hands down the best dentist I've ever been to. Had an emergency and they got me in right away. The staff from front office to the back are all polite. Yes, I would recommend them to everybody for emergency care in Federal Way.

Office was clean and I only waited 5 minutes before getting into my appointment—first green flag. The hygienist was polite and quick, the doctor was kind and direct about what was needed, and they did the deep clean in the same visit. They checked my insurance so all costs were clear upfront. Overall, just a great experience in Federal Way. Definitely would recommend for cleanings and preventative dentistry.

I called to get an emergency appt as I was in a lot of pain. They were quick to get me in and even offered a sooner appt when I explained how much pain I was having. I have extreme dental anxiety and hadn't been to the dentist in years. But after some wisdom tooth complications and a friend referring me to Sunrise, I decided to go. The staff are so thoughtful and kind. The exam areas aren't in separate closed rooms, which really helps with claustrophobia. Megan especially explained everything before doing it—blood pressure, x-rays, next steps. I didn't feel ashamed at all. Everyone truly made me feel comfortable for my first visit back.

When choosing a dentist, I care about two things: Professional skill and bedside (chairside?) manner. I’ve been here twice and both times the staff were very friendly and highly competent. And for a brief period when I was looking at the possibility of getting treatment elsewhere (for reasons unrelated to my experience at Sunrise), they completed and sent me the paperwork I needed the very same day, no hesitation and no hassle. They were enthusiastically helpful even when it was nothing in it for them, and I really respect people who do business that way. Hence this review. Highly recommended.

I had a fantastic experience at this dental office. The staff was incredibly professional, and they took every step necessary to ensure the best care for my teeth. From the moment I scheduled my appointment, everything was smooth and efficient. They kept me informed throughout the process, and I really appreciated how they took the time to thoroughly explain my billing statement. The waiting time was minimal, and I was quickly seen by the dentist. The service at the dental chair was fast and thorough, leaving me feeling confident in the care I received. Highly recommend!

My wife got her new insurance, gave it to the clinic, and she got some work done on her tooth. Everything is good and she is happy.

Update 11/26/22
My wife had some work done on her front tooth at this clinic, but it doesn't seem like they did it right because the filling pushed against her gum, making it painful, and the white puffs grew on her gum line.
The staff was able to get her in right away. She went there for the second time, they did some work, and now it's getting worse (same tooth). The pain eases for a short period, but now her gum swells up, and there are white puffs on the gum.
I called Saturday morning and hoped to talk to someone about it. No one picks up the phone or returns my call. So, the wife has been taking pain killer and hopes someone will return the call and be able to get her in next week.
They are pretty good about scheduling you once you leave a message.
11/29/22
Tammy called back and was able to get her in on Tuesday around noon. While waiting for the new insurance arrived, the wife was charged $75 for new X-rays and close to $1,100 if they were to perform the same work, removing excess filling from her tooth. I guess someone else performs the work on her tooth initially and left the company so it's not guaranteed. The wife decided not to get it done for the third time.

I've been coming to Sunrise Dental in Federal Way for years now the staff has always been fantastic. The office is in a beautiful building complex, and they keep it clean.
Doctor Do, Tammy, Megan, and Nuon take care of my dental work every year. If you need good dental work, this is the place.
