Unprofessional. Went for a consultation and Dr. Shapiro was incredibly rude when I didn't want a cleaning and x-rays on top of it. He ran out of the room before I could even get up. Front desk tried to get me to sign for services I didn't want and were rude when I declined. Worst experience with a dentist in Smithtown. Go elsewhere.

What always made me dread the dentist was feeling judged. Dr. Shapiro is the total opposite. From walking in, you feel welcome and at ease. He's kind, understanding, and has a great sense of humor—makes every visit way more comfortable. Plus his cosmetic work is phenomenal. Dr. Palmieri is a genius! I had an old, botched implant that no other dentist would touch because records were lost. He said he'd research the implant type and actually called me a week later with answers. Now I have a perfect, beautiful smile thanks to him. He's gentle, meticulous, kind, and professional. Dr. Shapiro is freaking amazing!!!!!!!
I called at 5 o’clock in the morning as an emergency basis… New to the area with a major emergency I had a failed root canal. It was so insanely painful so intense.
I needed help immediately he picked up the phone. He saw me not knowing me from Adam. I was not a client of his a patient of his and he took in on his time off …a Sunday morning to try to help me.
Of course, what I had going on he found was over his head. He numbed me up, and he referred me to another gentleman.
Dr. Russo, Dr. Russo’s staff was outstanding!!! they took me in. they did the x-rays. Dr. Russo said this is above my head. You need to go see an oral surgeon, Dr. Fisher…. He numbed me up. I was so relieved. I was in pain if it were to be rated 1-10 it would’ve been a 22 like on the verge of passing out so intense.
Dr. Fisher gave me 2 options we made a decision he cut me open drained it out fixed!!!!!
Those 3 doctors will be my doctor and my family‘s doctors for the rest of our lives.
Not only was Dr. Shapiro an outstanding amazing man when I asked him how much I owed him he said no don’t worry about it. I was in so much pain. I couldn’t remember where I had put my wallet with my insurance card in it as I was renovating two bedrooms and closets at home.

Dr. Fisher, the oral surgeon is the freaking best. He specializes in implants and all kinds of stuff they were 3 different kinds of dentistry but if you hitch your wagon to all 3 you have nothing to worry about.!!!!
When it comes to dental work, not only is it a horrible thing to experience but if you have the best, it sure makes it 1 million times easier… 1 million times easier when you have professionals that are quick swift and insanely knowledgeable … it’s one and done! I am so fortunate to get such wonderful, personalized care from Dr. Shapiro and Dr. Palmeiri. This practice is a throw-back to dentistry where the dentists not only know you but also your family. I have been going to Dr. Palmieri at the office for over six years now and have been very satisfied, he is a skilled professional, who listens carefully to each patient and is very thorough in explaining exactly what treatment options are available. He explains the pros and cons of each modality to achieve the specific treatment goal. The office staff operates efficiently in a punctual manner, I have rarely waited longer than ten minutes past my scheduled appointment time. There were always at least three staffers working the front desk. The patients are greeted cheerfully every time, while the staff keeps the busy office humming, they take time to answer questions from patients who attempt to navigate through the confusing maze of codes, acronyms and technical jargon of their individual insurance policies. They promptly advocate on behalf of the patients through their insurance providers and keep patients advised throughout the process. I would highly recommend Dr. Palmieri and The Center for Cosmetic Dentistry to anyone seeking stress free and professional dental care.

I walked into Center for Cosmetic Dentistry hating my smile. I had a consultation with Dr. Shapiro and was very impressed with his knowledge and determination to help me love my smile.
