They're so patient and never rush you in and out—definitely not a factory type of office. You actually get to know everyone, and they're all awesome! Brought my 14-month-old son for his first dental visit now that he has a few teeth. The waiting room is clean and comfy, with an amazing play area—my son loved the giant Lite Brite! Staff were all super friendly and nice to interact with. The doctor was very kind and gentle with my son and explained everything to me clearly. She even gave him a rubber ducky at the end. He loved it there! Great place for infant dental exams in Somerville.

First dental appointment ever for my 3-year-old, and I can't say enough great things about this practice! From the first call to schedule, every staff member—front desk, Lisa the hygienist, and Dr. Kane—was so friendly and welcoming. Absolute best children’s dentist there is! I have a highly sensitive child prone to dental issues and Dr. Kane is patient, understanding, and calming! 10/10 experience! I was greeted by a very nice front desk woman who checked us in. The facility is clean and has a cute play area that my son loved. The dental hygienists were amazing! My son was not easy to deal with and they were so patient and kind with him. They explained everything that they were going to do and tried to get him to be a part of the experience. The dentist came next who was just as wonderful. As a parent of a child having a meltdown it was nice to see compassionate people who truly tried to put both him and me at ease.
The Children's Dental Center has made my children love going to the dentist! The staff is friendly and always welcoming. They truly know how to handle anxious kids and takes the time to explain things. The office has state of the art equipment and a fun play area for before or after the appointment. 10/10 recommend Dr. Kane and her team!
I brought my three year old son in today for his first ever visit to the dentist and the entire staff were amazing with him. He was a little scared in the beginning but by the end of the appointment he was comfortable. I am so grateful he had such a positive first experience. As a pediatric nurse, I will for sure be recommending this office to my patients.
Wonderful experience for both of my children. From the front desk to the hygienists and dentist, every single person talked with each child with respect and explained what would happen. For the first appointment, they allowed my little guy to get comfortable in the chair and talked him through it all. Dr. Kane was incredible with him and worked with his wiggles to get through the exam in a very calm and quick way. He still acts like his goody bag from that visit is his gold :). We brought my older son here for a dental procedure and cannot begin to express how wonderful Dr. Kane was with taking time to explain the procedure to me and then the day of how great she and her staff were with him. He was happy and giggling with the staff after a dental procedure! Highly recommend to other parents and thank you, Dr. Kane and team for creating such a safe and warm space for children’s dental care.
Dr. Kane and her staff are gentle, friendly, and professional. They are very good at engaging kids in a positive way. My children have enjoyed coming to her bright and cheerful office since they were babies, and have made it through even difficult procedures with a minimum of tears. I highly recommend Dr. Kane to even the most hesitant patients!
My wife and I had an appointment for our 4 year old daughter. It was a terrific all around experience. Every single person we met at the office greeted us with a smile and treated us with kindness. My daughter was not able to cooperate with two other dentists during previous visits because of a fear of doctors. However, this experience was completely different. The Children’s Dental Center has a kid friendly atmosphere. They were able to remove her fear, provided her toys/entertainment, and were able to get necessary x-rays/pictures along the way.
Dr Kane is very knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to address all of our concerns without making us feel rushed. Her advice only had my daughter’s best interest in mind. The hygienists and front office staff were helpful and well organized. I have been in touch with them via phone and email. They respond promptly.
I now see why this place so highly rated. We will be back.
Today was my kids first time at the dentist. Ages 4 and 2, my children enjoyed their experience greatly! Dr. Kane and the dental hygienists were awesome! So friendly, excellent with my kids. They made the experience fun and kept us all at ease. I definitely recommend this practice! The office was immaculate, brightly lit and nicely decorated. You will not be disappointed!
