Where do I begin? Dr. Sheily is amazing. She changed my whole dental routine and explained everything about replacing my crowns. She was patient and gentle, especially since I had some trauma before. Honestly, the care I get here is top-notch. Dr. Sheily really listens and explains everything, which I appreciate. I started my Invisalign treatment in Los Angeles and I'm already seeing progress. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are only after your money and will try to charge you for services you didn’t agree to or even receive.
I called ahead of time for a cleaning and explained that I was pregnant, so I did not want X-rays. I made it clear I only wanted a basic cleaning, and they confirmed that was fine.
When I arrived for my appointment, they made a huge deal about the X-rays, even insisting it was “safe” during pregnancy. I told them I was not comfortable and only wanted the cleaning. Instead of respecting my wishes, they pushed other unnecessary exams that were not covered by my insurance—anything they could do to bill more. They even did a “visual exam” and claimed I needed braces, which felt like they were just inventing reasons to upsell me.
In the end, I got the basic cleaning I asked for, but months later I was shocked to find out they billed my insurance over $300, plus charged me $150 out of pocket. My insurance confirmed I should have only owed $41. When I called to dispute it, they brushed it off as a “mistake” and said they would look into it.
This place is dishonest and predatory. Please save yourself the headache and stay far away.
I had a really great experience at The Melrose Dentist. Even though the office was busy, everything went very smoothly. Dr. Sheily was wonderful, professional, caring, and explained everything clearly. The dental assistants were also very helpful and made the visit more comfortable. Overall, I felt well taken care of and will definitely will be coming back!

Do Not Come Here!! I really hate to have to write negative reviews for places, but i feel the need to warn people about this place. I was charged an extreme amount of money for a cleaning when I have never had to play more that $60 for a cleaning in the past. When I asked and called multiple times for an itemized receipt so I could figure out what the charge was for I was ignored and brushed off. Finally I was informed that I received a treatment that was no covered by my insurance, but that was never explained to me. Plus the numbers they gave me and the numbers my insurance claim had were vastly different. I have tried again and again to get into contact with anyone to send me the from where i agreed to have these treatments and the receipt and once again silence. Not to mention the dentist was extremely hostile and had no bedside manner. I will not be back and I recommend if you do just be really careful.
Best dentist ever. I’m in my second month of invisiline braces. This is part of my dental plan she made for me. My mouth is now free of cavities and bright white smile! It feels so good to take care of my hygiene with a great dentist I can trust! I’ve had a lot of bad experiences in the past. This place is top notch!

Dr. Sheily is the absolute best dentist. I have never met someone so easy to talk to, so incredibly knowledgeable, and able to explain the nuances of each and every treatment recommended so thoroughly and in such a digestible manner. It is so clear with every one of our interactions that she genuinely loves what she does because she feels lucky to positively impact her patients dental health and their relationship with their dental care (visible in the time she sets aside to speak and explain and just converse at each appointment). I am so lucky and quite honestly honored to have her (and her incredible expertise) as my dental provider. I truly feel that anyone that decides to have her as their dentist is super lucky to have her in their lives and corner. Her dental work is incredible and the fillings I have had done YEARS ago (such smooth appointments) are in great condition! No complaints at all!!
