Had a dental emergency and they got me in the very next day—couldn't believe it. The front desk ladies were super kind and I didn't wait more than a couple minutes. Dr. Moore was so understanding and easy to talk to, not judgmental at all. She looked at my X-rays, explained everything, gave me options, and got the work done quickly while making sure I was comfortable. As someone who's terrified of the dentist, this was a game-changer. Highly recommend this East Islip office for emergency dentistry.

I've been coming here since way back in the 90s, before it was even The Smilist. The new dentists are just as skilled as the old ones. I asked for a consult yesterday morning at 8:15, got seen at 1:00, and my work was done by 4:00 today. Dr. Daniella Apostol is amazing—so precise and artistic. Dr. Michael Wakily is great too. Brenda the PA is awesome. Had a painless procedure with fantastic results. Best dental practice in East Islip!

This place is the biggest scam there is nasty staff. I went for a consultation they come in and say I need to do x-rays no problem. How much is it $49 OK let’s do it. The doctor comes in and says we’re doing a full panel of x-rays. Then the nasty office staff comes in and says oh no we’re only gonna do the bottom. I said the dentist said that we’re doing a full panel. She goes. Oh well we’re only doing the bottom now. For a customer I was going for a free consultation could have cost them thousands of dollars and work. I was looking to get everything done. This will not be the place. I’m getting it done at.

They Scheduled us for the wrong type of appointment. Then had us wait 45 minutes for a consult and we had to reschedule. I called twice and left messages with a person to change the type of sedation for wisdom teeth removal that we were scheduled for because they had pushed us into the laughing gas instead of general anesthesia and they never called back. Terrible service and disrespectful of people’s fears and individual preferences.

I tried booking online but it didn't go through, so when I showed up they didn't have me in the system. But they were super nice and fit me in later that day—definitely better to call. I saw Dr. Apostol for a root canal and she was wonderful. I was really nervous because I have sensitive teeth, but she explained every step, gave me options, and did it with zero pain. She kept checking on me. Totally different experience than I expected. Highly recommend for emergency dentistry.

I've had terrible experiences at other dentists and was super anxious. My mom told me about The Smilist and I'm so glad I listened. Everyone at the East Islip location is so nice and personable. The hygienist talked me through my cleaning, let me take breaks, and made me feel comfortable right away. She explained step by step what I needed. I'd recommend this place to anyone. 10/10.

My procedure was replacing a crown and I can't express enough how pleased I was and am with Dr. Apostel. She is the BEST dentist I've had in my lifetime. Her professionalism and work ethic are such a gift to her patients. From start to finish my dental experience was flawless. The guys I saw was great. The company as a whole trash. Needless bill padding. I didn’t need X-rays but got charged for them anyway . 3% extra on a 1500 bill cause I don’t walk around with that kind of money. If I were you shop around a little more.

This place deserves all of the hype it’s getting. I had Tori as my hygienist. She made me feel super comfortable, the cleaning was quick and thorough. She also was gentle when typically I am super uncomfortable during cleanings. She made me feel good about my teeth and good about going to the dentist. I will never ever go anywhere else, I am completely sold.
