Went in for a filling and the dentist didn't even numb me properly. He jabbed me three times with the needle, didn't wait for it to kick in, and started drilling anyway. It hurt like crazy. On top of that, he cut my gums with some tool. Honestly, the worst dental experience I've ever had in Raeford. Never going back to Thompson DDS for any general dentistry or fillings again.

Scheduled an appointment twice and both times I waited over two hours. The front desk ladies were rude and unprofessional—kept letting people who came after me go first. They completely ignored my concerns. Honestly, worst experience I've ever had at any business in Raeford. Avoid if you value your time.

Had a 10am appointment for my son's first visit. We showed up early at 9:43, but we didn't get seen until after 11. When I asked how much longer, they said 'a few more minutes,' but I could see at least one other person ahead of us. Not a good first impression at all. If you're scheduling a pediatric dentistry appointment here, expect long waits.

Went in for a routine teeth cleaning because a family member recommended them. The dentist looked at my teeth and just said 'Ew, you need braces.' Then he cleaned them, and my teeth felt rough like sandpaper afterward—never had that happen before. Not a great experience for a simple cleaning in Raeford. Choose wisely.

Back in 2020 I went in for an exam on a cracked tooth and ended up getting a surprise root canal on the spot. No treatment plan, no follow-up appointment—just 'we're doing this now.' I'm terrified of dentists and usually get knocked out, but they didn't offer laughing gas or sedation, just novocaine. I cried through the whole thing. Nothing was explained to me. If you need a root canal in Raeford, make sure you're prepared for anything.

But I was blessed enough to run into MR.THOMPSON and I got my tooth abstracted and I DID NOT FEEL an ounce of pain and I got my tooth pulled yesterday and I’m eating Chinese food today

The Office was dirty! They took someone else at my time and left me sitting there with no indication of what time they would actually take me. It appeared they had double booked my slot. They were not busy so they had no excuse. I left to go somewhere else. They did not return my copays!

Honestly, this place was a letdown. I went for a cavity filling and the dentist barely spoke to me—just hummed the whole time. His assistant was silent too. It hurt so bad I had tears in my eyes, and nobody said a word. They didn't even suction the saliva out of my mouth while working. Felt completely uncared for. If you're looking for a dentist in Raeford who actually cares, avoid this one for cosmetic dentistry or any other work.

Dr. Thompson is so nice and caring! I'm usually terrified of the dentist, but he made me feel relaxed—even hummed to calm me down. His nurse rubbed my shoulder because I was trembling. I just called this office for a estimated price, because my son has 2 teeth that needs to be pulled and has no insurance. I was told that I couldn't get a price for pulling teeth , that he had to come in for an exam. I asked several times for a guesstimation as far as what it would cost and she again and again said there was no price she could give me for pulling 2 teeth. I was beside myself because I have never been told that by any Dentist or Dr's office before. so needless to say he won't be going there.

He over looked 4 bad teeth saying they were ok. When filling one of my teeth he only filled half the tooth and didnt file it down like he was supposed to. I can look at my teeth myself and see that they need fillings but i guess he had better things to do. They are not clean and i will not be going back.

Dr.Thompson has been my dentist for 26 years and I think he is a very good dentist and he really cares about his patients.I have never had problem the office staff is friendly and kind. I feel he goes above n beyond to take care of your teeth. Wouldn't go any where else tried once n was disappointed I would wait all day if I had to. Great dentist
