Had to drop a lower rating because of ongoing scheduling and professionalism issues. About half my appointments got rescheduled the day before or the day of. Once is fine, but multiple times? That's a problem. Most recently, I showed up for my 3:00 PM appointment and was told it'd be 'some time' before they could see me. I was taken back at 3:15, so the wait wasn't long, but the way they delivered the message felt off. If you can't keep the schedule, just book differently. Also, overheard staff conversations while waiting on February 10th that didn't inspire confidence. Needs improvement.

After 24 years active duty in the Army, I've seen plenty of dentists, both military and civilian. Dr. Crupi and his team are top shelf. His professionalism and dedication are excellent, plus he's got a great sense of humor. Hard to find a dentist with that mix of skill and personality. Looking forward to my next appointment for sure.

Waited 50 years to finally get VA Dental, and within a year Venice Island Dental solved all my problems. Only downside to recommending them is it makes it harder for me to get an appointment, lol. Big thanks to the whole crew.

I'm old as dirt and have been to many dentists over the years. Unfortunately, Dr. Crupi has had to fix others' work and my own neglect. Never had a negative experience, which is amazing given the circumstances. His hygienist Carly is knowledgeable and efficient, and Dr. Crupi is a rock. No nonsense, down to earth, still serves in the military and rotates into war zones to care for our warriors—says a lot about his character. He's top shelf.

VA referred me here. The nurse tried to stick my hand, no luck, I told her try my arm, best veins. Instead of being rude, she thanked me and found the vein. As soon as IV sedation went in, I was out like a light, even snored lol. Dr. Crupi is amazing—if you want a family dentist, go see him. He's thorough and does great work. I'm about to put my dog down unexpectedly, and a receptionist calls to confirm an appointment I apparently rescheduled for today from 10/30 (I cancelled that appt). I'm supposed to be out of town with family for Thanksgiving (booked tickets in September, on my calendar) and now I'm not because my dog is dying, and they want to argue and hang up on me, blaming me for their mistake? Had caps installed due to sensitivity, within days I started to bite my tongue when eating or talking. This condition have altered my eating and speech. I had no follow up after repeated calls. I would think twice about using this facility.

After giving my husband oral surgery to place a temporary cap until the new crown came in and didn't prescribe my husband ANY ANTIBIOTICS, including that's against hypocratic ]ath for doctors. Always antibiotics are given for any oral surgery which he had, now I get treated like crazy for requesting his help and some lady chose to make all decisions for him and to speak for hum so I'm warning you, my husband is in jail for a severe blood infection that has reached his brain and doing damage to liver and kidneys all thanks to this dentist here telling hum 'if you get a temperature, go to a hospital ' and that's it! No antibiotics, no follow up. No understanding that his infection was worsened by his lack of care! SO THEY MADE IT VERY CLEAR TO ME WHEN I TRIED TO PLEAD WITH THEM, THEY WILL SEE ME ToMORROW TO PICK UP ALL HIS PAPERWORK SO I CAN PROVE TO A LAWYER AND ANOTHRR DENTIST MORE CREDIBLE AND WHO CARES TO HELP! And that's the difference between customer service and horrible service!

Horrible patient care. No follow-up. Never in the office says he's going to send the script but doesn't My mom ended up with osteomyelitis in the jaw even after she had complained of pain and discomfort he missed it. Didn't refer her out. Didn't follow up. Said he was going to send an antibiotic when her jaw swalled up following days after her visit with him. But when she got to CVS to pick it up it wasn't there. She called his office but he wasn't in and he never got back to her and never fill the script. She missed her appointment because she went to a different dentist for help and he never called when she missed her appointment. Never followed up. Never cared

I have a lot of fear associated with going to the dentist but Dr. Crupi and the staff are AMAZING. They put me at ease, everything went quick and was done very professionally. He even gave you time to answer questions before sticking his hands back in your mouth, which is revolutionary!! 😉 This is the only dentist office I will be going to if I have any say about it. Been very impressed with the care I've received from Dr. Crupi and his staff. Always professional, friendly, and caring. Dr. Crupi is extremely knowledgeable—he placed an implant and a crown without any issues. I see him regularly for preventive care, and his staff always follow up to make sure I'm doing alright. I cannot say that they aren’t a pleasant, professional office when I finally got in for my appointment... but what a struggle to be seen even as an existing patient.
A couple of notable incidences:
They have called and rescheduled me then called and said I missed my appointment (on the originally scheduled date). Then they couldn’t get me rescheduled for months.
I called to try to figure out an appt time that would work and it took me 4 phone calls and a couple staff members saying someoneone would call me back, it took 3 weeks.
The appt I was given was for 3:30 , I got there at 3:05 and they said I was late, it was for 3.
At that appt, near 2weeks ago,I made an appt for Jan 10 for a filling and they just called me to reschedule to Jan 24. Almost a month will have gone by for this filling. And I took time off. They gave no reason for the inconvenience.
I’m being extremely nice regarding all of these things that seem to keep transpiring.
Truelly miss the organization and efficiency, of Dr. Belcher and his staff. I keep hanging in there but I’m struggling to understand why such a great practice that the previous Dentist built is exhibiting practices like this.
