Made an appointment here for a root canal because my usual dentist doesn't do them. Had my xrays faxed over and was clear I needed a root canal. Gave them my insurance info to check coverage. When I got there, they said they had to do more xrays and another evaluation that would be billed to insurance, and the xrays I sent weren't enough. Then the dentist asked if I had pain, and I said yes. Felt like a waste of time.

Was more than nervous, but everyone had smiles and were very kind. I was listened to and encouraged to go forward with my dental plan. I have broken teeth, missing front teeth, bridges—lots of work needed. The hygienist asked if I wanted sensitive, I said no, and she was gentle. The assistant was kind, funny, and compassionate. The dentist didn't judge me; she made me feel good because she's going to give me my smile back.

I went to them to get a second opinion. I realized that they wanted to deceive me at Aspen Dental.But when I called them to make an appointment for teeth cleaning, they refused. They told me I needed to do a deep cleaning of my gums! Why should I clean my gums if I want to brush my teeth? since gums cost 2000, and brushing your teeth costs pennies.
Amazing experience, best dental office I’ve been to! Friendly staff who explains everything before hand to make sure you are comfortable and understand what is happening and the cost associated. Hygienist was very thorough and checked to make sure I was out throughout the cleaning. Highly recommend this office
This is one of the best in the area. Lived here 10 years and been through 3 dentists. My dentist misdiagnosed and I ended up with an infection. He was away and Velasquez Practice took me in right away for emergency dental service. They took their time and didn't jump to severe conclusions or try to make me pay high prices. Staff is friendly, kind, and the dentist is amazing. Glad after 10 years I found a dentist with good work ethics.

Found a great dentist and her staff is just as awesome. Not one negative thing to say. They're thorough and everyone was well educated. They explained everything in detail so we were on the same page. Made me feel at ease, which is not easy for someone with anxiety and panic attacks. Oh, and the deep clean—first time I wasn't hurt. The hygienist listened to my pain concerns and made sure I was comfortable.

I'm new in town and became a patient for the first time this week. I have to say that this is the friendliest dental staff I've ever experienced (Olga and Lisa) and they did a terrific job. I really had fun there. Dr. Velasquez-Pierce is a wonderful and knowledgeable dentist so I will definitely be back in 6 months!

I was new to the Venice area. I needed a 6 month dental check up and looked for a dentist close by who took my insurance and had good reviews. I had a little problem with scheduling my first appointment but after that everything went amazingly well. From the moment I sat in the dental chair I felt I was getting great treatment. When Dr. Velasquez came in, she explained everything. I had my check up but was told I probably should get a crown on one tooth. I had been expecting that so no surprise and, at that point, I was already so comfortable with this practice I said "Go for it". Work was very good, insurance taken care of and I was extremely pleased with it all. Some months later I had to go to an out of state dentist for a minor crack in a tooth. He looked at my mouth and said "Whoever put that crown on did a terrific job". So my thoughts were confirmed that this is a very good dental practice.

They were absolutely amazing my first appointment I was really upset when they did the x-rays and I was crying the the assistant was so sweet she held my hand and said everything will be ok and said not to cry you are to beautiful to cry she explained to me what I needed to get done and I went back between 4 different appointments and got all the teeth they needed extracted pulled the Dr was so sweet and gently her staff were just as sweet and very friendly..I couldn't be happier with the Dr and everyone in the office they were absolutely amazing. They did everything they could it make me more comfortable. I also would highly recommend them she is going out of her way to help me and they are absolutely amazing.

Very upset with my services here. I’m not one to leave negative reviews on businesses.. The dental assistant was amazing and so was the hygienist.. if I ever returned it would be because of them.. but when I made my appointment as a new patient no one bothered to tell me they had a “sub” dentist. So I didn’t even get to meet the real dentist. My cleaning\ exam appointment took 3-1/2 HOURS instead of 1 hour which made my babysitter quit on me. I went to my appointment on Monday and here it is Thursday and I still yet have to receive my treatment plan from the front desk I even called them to remind them to send it. If they can’t keep up with sending out treatment plans I wonder how they will be fixing my teeth. As a new patient I was hoping for a great experience so I could find my new go to dentist but it looks like I am still on the hunt.
Myself and my 3 children(15yr-6yr) had our first appointments today. Everyone from the Dentist to the receptionist were spectacular! My kids actually had a good time at the dentist, lol!

She is very professional, proficient, and meticulous and takes the time to explain the condition and her recommended treatment. Her dental hygienist did an excellent job cleaning my teeth. Moved to Venice in July and it's hard to find good health care. This dentist and staff are top notch! Had 3 cavities redone and it was much less painful than I thought. Was dreading it but they made it easy. Made as comfortable as possible and their concern for my comfort was sincere. Would recommend them highly.

This review is for Dr. Pierce's new Hygienist, Myrna. A few years back I met Myrna on a regular visit to the dentist. Her skills as a dental hygienist were just impressive. I could feel my teeth so clean like never before. Something was different when she was done. It felt so neat and clean I found myself asking for her on my next appointment. From there on, I looked forward to my cleaning every six months and I always make sure I am on the schedule with Myrna. I trust no other hygienist to work on my teeth other than the dentist. I have the highest regards for Myrna and I am very lucky to have met her and turned our patient-provider relationship into a good friendship.
