I had called the day prior and asked about availability for walkins and I also shared the details for the visit. I have 2 chipped tooth that needed a filling replace which have walked in and done so there in the past without a problem. I was told that it was possible as a walkin I very much understand it can go either way. I had the next few days jammed packed with meetings and work events and needed these 2 front teeth taken care of. I arrived at noon and there were a few people there and some arrived after. After an hour I am sent to get X-rays which I didn’t understand why because that has not been done before when I have had the teeth serviced there before. So we go I go in the room to wait and he’s like you need a cleaning and I told him that I was really really short on time and that I need these teeth fixed. He proceeds to start a cleaning and is not being as cautious as he’s cleaning my teeth. It hurt my gums I was in discomfort during the cleaning and even when expressed he still continues. He then stops and tells me that I need to get another set of X-rays because the one I took 2 mins ago didn’t work ( but they absolutely charged my insurance for it and because they did for my next X-rays I will have to pay out of pocket) He then tells me that he can’t fix the tooth when I have been there before, I don’t know if they are pressed for new patients but this was plain old wrong. Had I known that it was going to be this way I would’ve gone to another dentist and paid for everything out-of-pocket because I needed my teeth. I spent the next few days feeling extremely self-conscious as I am in meetings and conversing with people it was not cool at all. He tried to tell me I needed all this stuff when I said I was done and walked out. This was wrong in so many ways. So save yourself the hassle and go somewhere where they will take care of you correctly

Honestly, my cleaning at Wadsworth Family Dentistry in New York was pretty disappointing. The dentist didn't do a thorough job - when I got home, I could still see tartar on some of my teeth. And during the procedure, saliva got all over my sweater, which was really uncomfortable. For a basic cleaning in NYC, I expected better care and attention to detail.

Total waste of time at this New York dentist. Not good with Medicaid, and anything out of pocket feels way overpriced. Was hoping to get some dental work done in NYC without breaking the bank, but left feeling like I was being overcharged for basic services.

Super polite, always takes time to talk on the phone if I have questions, and when there's a dental emergency, he tells me to come right in. These folks in New York are never open when you need them. Always closed or closing earlier than their posted hours online. Trying to get emergency dental care in NYC is hard enough without offices not keeping their stated hours. Pretty frustrating experience overall.

As a parent of four in New York, finding a dentist who gets us in and out quickly is huge. Wadsworth Family Dentistry does exactly that - we're usually seen right away. The staff and dentist are really friendly and actually listen to our concerns. My kids and I have been a few times for cleanings and exams. Only wish they were open weekends, but we'll keep going and definitely recommend them to other NYC families.

Really regret going to this New York dentist. Charged me almost $2,000 for dental work I didn't even need, and then the cleaning wasn't done properly either.
