I am a disaster relief worker in the area helping with the recent flooding from hurricane Ida. I have a chipped tooth that is causing me a ton of pain. The doctor walked in the room, showed zero care of empathy, and said "what tooth hurts", took a quick glance at the x-ray, then said "we'll see about your insurance" then left the room never to return. I carry dental insurance with the nations largest provider and they refused to treat me unless I paid $1200 on the spot, advising me "you can get reimbursed through your insurance" and saying "that's the policy" when I told them I don't carry that kind of money when I travel for diaster duty, they offered to only take $900 as of that was doing me a favor. I'm glad I'm not bound to help people by the how much money they carry. Was real fun watching the doc leave about the same time I was walking out in his high dollar car.

I would highly suggest anybody to go here great customer service great doctors and they're always willing to help. Today was my very first appointment with them I looked them up on Google and they booked me the next day. They'd taken all the proper precautions for the covid-19. SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES! I was in search of a new dentist back in Jan. 2020 and called my insurance company for local in-network dentists. WFD was the closest and had good reviews so I chose them. I always make it a habit to call and verify they are in-network and the man said they were so I set the appointment. Fast forward a year and I get a bill in the mail (my first correspondence from them ever) and it was for $308. All I did was go for a cleaning! I promptly called the office and spoke to a gentleman named Foo who proceeded to rudely exclaim they have not been in-network with my insurance for yrs and I would need to pay immediately. I told him that due to hours being cut with covid, I would make payments and he said that is unacceptable and I would get sent to collections. I was conned into going there and then they have me at their mercy so I have to pay. Other than the Shady business practices, the dentist himself was fine and would've gladly kept going here if not for this duplicitous way of conducting business

My son had a lot of issues with his teeth. After months of shopping around, I found this practice. Washington Pediatric Dental provided great customer service and Dr. Wendy really cared about my son's dental health. She did incredible work, and my son thinks she's awesome! Plus, they explained treatments and costs clearly, and I could budget the co-pay. Highly recommend for pediatric care in Bergenfield.
