Honestly, I'm usually pretty nervous at dental offices, but Waterdown Smiles Dentistry in Waterdown, ON totally changed that for me. They made me feel way more relaxed than I expected, and I really felt like I was in good hands. Dr. Luka is a great dentist, and the whole staff is super friendly and professional! If you're looking for a dental clinic in the area where you can actually feel comfortable while getting your teeth fixed, I'd definitely recommend checking them out. Just moved to the Waterdown area after 35 years with my old dentist, so I was pretty nervous about finding a new place. Picked Waterdown Smiles Dentistry based on all the good reviews here, and my first appointment today didn't disappoint. Everyone was super friendly and put me right at ease. The clinic is modern and all the staff I met were really professional. If you're in ON and need a dentist for your family, I'd say give this place a try for sure.

Got introduced to Dr. Rand Luka at Waterdown Smiles Dentistry by a Sure Smile rep. Long story short, I had my eye tooth pulled as a kid, then got wire braces, and my gaps were awful. As an adult, I tried Invisalign to get an implant, but it didn't work out. Spent almost 30 years being self-conscious about my teeth. Years later, I decided to try again, and Dr. Luka came up with an amazing plan using Sure Smile aligners and an implant that finally gave me my perfect smile. I cried when he handed me the mirror. He and his assistant were incredible.

Been going to Waterdown Smiles Dentistry in Waterdown for 8 years now, and I've loved both the old team and Dr. Rony's new crew. As someone who gets pretty anxious in the dental chair, Rose has been a gentle hygienist who's really sensitive to how I feel, and Tara is always so pleasant when I arrive. They even helped out with toothbrushes for my cancer fundraiser hospital bags during Breast Cancer month! Dr. Rony explains everything he's doing to make me feel more at ease and is super patient. Can't say enough great things about this dental office in Waterdown. First off, Dr. Rony Luka is exceptional with kids and makes everyone feel welcomed. Noor the dental hygienist is an extraordinary lady who makes our daughter feel so comfortable and happy. The office staff are truly accommodating, and it's like no other dental office we've been to. Very rude customer service and communication I’ve been going to this Dentist for years and years and years and as soon as that, they got bought out by a different place and then switched all their staff. It was a horrible experience. I got cavities done. I’ve never had that much freezing done and bruising all down my neck from being pulled on. Not to mention the fact that my tongue was all cut up due to the Dentist getting mad that my freezing was way too much of my tongue kept getting in the way. I have medical issues I get huge migraines and I try and make my appointments. I drove all the way back from a 3 Hour Dr. to make my appointment but then ended up getting a huge migraine and wasn’t able to safely make it to the dentist before this ultimately resulted in me being banned to create a Any kind of appointment. I am on odsp And they are not allowed to charge me cancellation fee fees, or late fees And I believe that’s why. I asked If they can give me the amount of appointments, I missed in the past year And they did not want to elaborate. (I only missed two ) And if I miss any others, it’s because they know my situation that I was living out of my car. They treat you like you’re less of a person when you don’t have insurance proper coverage or money for certain things I try and call about my retainer and they don’t even tell me the price. They just tell me that I’m not going to be able to afford it. It makes me feel very awful about myself. Being on odsp , I should be exempted from having certain issues when it comes to scheduling appointments I do my best to make every single one. But it seems like I’m not really at a loss Because of the horrible service that I have gotten since that they changed companies. Water down, smiles, growing up was amazing but as soon as they changed the Boss or whoever all works there, it’s been crazy.
Regarding missing any appointments, I even called them before telling them I had strep Throat because I get it often I have a immune deficiency and I ask them if I can cancel a couple days before and they said that I need to make sure that I get there Which I thought was weird because of the contamination. I don’t know if they thought I was trying to make an excuse but I didn’t wanna get anybody else sick and I had a hard time getting my cavities done with the strep throat. It was an awful experience. And then when I told the Dentist that I couldn’t keep my mouth open for long periods of time, my throat was getting dry. She would get annoyed and be pushing on my jaw harder
Being on RDSP there is a paperwork to get extra cleanings one of the dentist cleaners that I liked there Said that she wanted to help me out and get me extra cleanings Because I’m only allowed one a year So she did a few paperwork Sent it to odsp and I was accepted. When I called about this paperwork because if they’re not gonna let me schedule an appointment to switch, Dentist. They act like I am a burden and they said “ we went out of our way to do that for you” yes, it’s extra paperwork. But at the end of the day, I need the support and I get less benefits than the regular person. Every single time I call the attitude is very draining and feeling like they don’t wanna talk to me. It’s definitely not the definition of water no smiles anymore. They treat me like I don’t deserve anything done because I don’t have insurance ect because odsp only pays little for dental. I wish I could give a good review about this place, But it is awful. Beware when you’re getting your cavities done.
My husband and I had a great experience at Waterdown Smiles! Very friendly front staff, easy to schedule an appointment and very flexible with appointment times! Both of our initial visit and teeth cleanings were very thorough and are happy to come back for our routine care!
